Can anyone recommend somewhere to download a free trial of a DVD Ripper with few or no restrictions? :o Impossible, I know, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
I just got a fabulous new MP3 player with video and I really want to carry all my Stevie videos around with me! :woohoo:
Thanks!!

They're out there. I have two friends that can copy ANY DVD they rent. I don't know the name of the program, though. If I can ever afford to lose this antique computer I'm on, they're gonna hook me up!:blob2:

I know someone that does that as well. He has a membership to Blockbuster so he spends about $20/month and copies as many DVDs as he can get his hands on. Luckily, he does only that - he doesn't make money by selling them or anything, but the kid has an enormous library now.

You could always just sell them to your friends. At least to pay for your rental and copy.

Drat, my DVDs are protected! I wasn't sure if they were or not...
Can anyone help me? It's not for commercial gain or anything. It's only for a few files, and for my own personal use. :o

All EMI Copy Control protection does* is makes the discs skip when I play them using my DVD player - making my George Harrison and Beatles Let It Be...Naked (ironically only skips during George's songs) unlistenable.
A standard version of Nero can copy those discs INCLUDING the alleged copy protection - but I strip the protection off my copies using Easy CD-DA Extractor, so I can at least enjoy the albums I have purchased.
DVD protection is a little more effective.
* Well, that's not all it does. Technically it means they are not actually not able to be called Compact Disc Audio as they violate the technical specifications.
