View Full Version : Unconventional Hotties, What Say Ye?

Okay, inspired by The Tower's Keith Olbermann thread , I'd like to start my own list of hotties that are unconventionally attractive to most people.
First of all, Stephen Colbert. I don't know why, I don't know how, but he is hot! It might be the nerdy glasses (always had a Clark Kent fascination) the suit, the cute as hell sly smile, the brilliant humor, okay it's all of it. He's awesome. I'm thinking of ditching my husband and running away with him. I know he's married too, but who cares
You know, maybe it's just the Daily Show 'cause I also have a thing for Jon Stewart AND Steve Carrell too! Those guys are so amazingly funny and sharp, who couldn't love 'em?
I also just have a thing for smart guys with good senses of humor. I hate to admit it (in a public forum no less) but I have a secret crush on one of my husband's friends who is the most unconventionally attractive guy ever but he's so damn intelligent and funny! And it's the kind of sense of humor I have...dry, a bit on the sarcatic side, that only fellow smart asses like us can truly appreciate. Anyway, I'm sure I've divulged too much, so I'll stop there
So who do ya'll find attractive that are unconventionally so?

Anthony Hopkins - one word "CLARICE"
Richard B
03-23-2006, 11:40 AM
Laura San Giacomo - short, curvy, gap in her front teeth, ample breasts.
Alice Krige - that voice, those dark eyes and her sexy long hair.
Tracey Ullman - Funny is downright sexy. With her gift of mimicry, you never know what you get in bed. Grrr.
Anjelica Houston - Older one...but something about her makes me randy. Especially in The Grifters and The Man From Ellysian Fields. I love her voice too.

Anjelica Houson IS hot! I thought she was stunning in The Life Aquatic, I think her sexiness mainly manifests itself in the way she carries herself and the way she talks, so yes, her voice is very sexy.

I think they are both cute. Love The Office and The Colbert Report. Loved them on The Daily Show when they did Even Stevphens.
I can't think of anyone right this second.

I think The 40 Year Old Virgin sealed my Carrell crush. He is so adorable! And he seems like the nicest guy. Doesn't hurt that he's funny as hell either.

Tim Roth. Don't know WHY I think he's hot, but he just is to me.
I laughed my a$$ off during The 40-Year-Old Virgin. "Kelly Clarkson!" BWAH! The scene when he's got his shirt off and that girl is in the tub uh...pleasuring herself...and they show his back...guh....sexy back.
I'm weird. LOL

 How about that chest hair? That scene where they take him to wax it had me in stitches! Speaking of The 40 Year Old Virgin, I also think Paul Rudd is very attractive, but I guess he's more on the conventional side  oh well, it's worth a mention.

And morbidly delicious as Morticia! (I miss Raul Julia).
Loved heras well in The Perez Family, Prizzi's Honor, Enemies, A Love Story, Royal Tennenbaums and Manhattan Murder Mystery.

Bob Saget!? No way. Although, both are tall, lanky, nerdy types with dark hair so I guess I can kind of see the connection, but I DO NOT find B.S. attractive in the least. He can be funny though, and not in the family oriented type of humour either, did you see The Aristocrats? He can be downright filthy!

No, I didn't see that but I was watching cable one day and came across one of his old standup shows and it was pretty raunchy. He creeps me out. Maybe it's just because he is so pinned to that whitebread Full House image, but I just can't buy his "normal" persona. He reminds me of somebody's awkward, pervy dad who tries to be cool and hits on their friends.

She is too! Now more than ever. Even though I enjoyed her self deprecating humor on Cheers it was only after the fact the Shelley Long was gone and I was forced to appreciate Kirstie. I liked her much, much better. The banter between Shelley and Dan was really wickedly witty. Kirstie grew tiresome quickly.

She is MUCH better looking (or was) than Shelley Long! I couldn't stand Diane on Cheers! Shelley Long ROCKED. How could you not? She (and the rest of the cast) made Cheers work. Loved her prim and proper and pompous self. That's what made her so lovable and fukable. You just wanted her.
Kirstie was funny (after I accepted her), but not in a sexy way. Like I said...too much me, me, me, oh woe is me humor. It really is annoying after awhile. I see why people find that funny. I don't.

I don't know if he would be considered unconventional, but he's unconventional for me because I'm not attracted to shrimpy men, but Jon Stewart is divinely sexy.

I don't think she's an "unconventional" beauty... I mean, friggin' look at the woman up close and you'll see what I mean, but putting Cyndi Lauper on this list might surprise a few people who are more familiar with her old image. Trust me folks, there's a beauty with lovely skin underneath all of that wild makeup!

Ah, I think they're pretty unique looking. Not beautiful in the traditional sense.
Oh and by the way, Will Arnett is HOT!!! LOVE his voice, it totally makes me melt ~swoon~ :xoxo:
Will Arnett is walking sex. His voice even makes Lamisil commercials sexy. Everything about him makes me hot. Same with Bateman, but he's not really "unconventional," he's just one handsome, sexy devil. That fact that they're so funny makes them even hotter. I'm so happy that Showtime picked up AD.
Will's wife Amy Poehler is another unconventional hottie. She's a cutie pie. And pictures of them together make me crack up because he's so tall & she's so short that it ends up looking like some dude taking his niece out.
I also have a weird thing for Paul Bettany. Don't ask me why because I have no real answer (he's white as a sheet and very plain), but I find him incredibly attractive.

He's definitely my favorite. The scene where he's camped out in the copy room in his pajamas and putting white bread through the shredder for no specific reason? That solidified it. "If it's business, then I'll go away happy. But if it's personal, I'll go away. But I won't be happy." Michael and George Michael are my favorites, too. Eek. Her voice is as busted as her face. She can't sing above a whisper and when she tries, her voice cracks and it ends up sounding like Harvey Fierstein trying to hit a Julie Andrews note from Victor Victoria. Not to mention the fact that she gets winded after one line, gasping for air like someone who's choking would. Take a listen and try to pay no attention to Mary's singing along with her.

I know. But, I think she could have a chance at healing to some much lesser percentage than 100% if she would clean her act up and wait a year or so. My voice certainly has been in the toilet more than once and a week or so of pure living always brings it back. Then again, I have never been anywhere close to her level of the toilet. mine was just getting liquored up to much and smoking too many cigs while so.
In that clip and in that seriously weakened voice, the evidence of the voice is still there and surprisingly so, albeit she is cracked out and unable to breathe. So - FUKCING sad to me. I mean when she hits those final few "FREEEEE" - the damage is horrifically apparent.
Also, I heard La Andrews' voice crack on stage in that - I cried.

Damn. You sound like a dude. First time I heard a female say that, except for a lesbian I sorta know.

Really? I hear it all the time. All of my female friends say that, and most of the ones who say it are straight.
Maybe I'm just a perv. That's cool, too.

Gah, you will die and to go hell for daring to compare this to Stevie.
Is she running and singing at the same time?

For some reason, during her lifetime, she was never considered a beauty.. (for what reason I have no clue!) So for that reason I'm including Ms. Garland!

Omg, I kinda have a thing for Conan too. He's really not too physically appealing (that melon head!) but he's so damn funny! That makes him attractive.

I think it was cool how he was married to Exene Cervenka from X, another unconventional hottie.
yeah, that's beyond cool. Viggo's a bit different though. Have you ever seen him interviewed?

Nope, but I assume it's amusing. Is he a total ass when he's interviewed? Because I've heard that before.
And uh.. I have a thing for Robert Smith from The Cure. End.

He's not really an ass, unless you find someone who doesn't say much and then f*cks around with the interviewer to be an ass. I saw him on the Daily Show a while back. Jon had fun with him, but it wasn't insightful at all, it also doesn't help that Jon is a bad interviewer (although he's funny as hell).

I saw him on Charlie Rose and he seemed fine to me. Well-spoken and quite eloquent, especially when giving his opinion on Bush.

Maybe Jon put him ill at ease? That happens A LOT.
I'd love to hear his comments about Bush.

You had me all excited thinking it was a series - it's just one movie, though. That's OK. I missed it, but I'm sure they'll air it again 50 times.
