I highly recommend everyone go see this film. I thought it was brilliant. In a strange way, it addresses a lot of issues going on in the world right now.

I'm glad you said that - I thought it looked good and I wanted to see it. Then one or two critics over here gave it such a bashing I thought maybe I wouldn't bother. If enough people here say it's worth seeing then that's good enough for me!

It was overtly political. Disturbing. Moving. Emotional. Like I said, I really liked it. I don't know if it's a critics movie or not.

I saw it last night on the IMAX. I thought it was a great movie. Very 1984.

I have the graphic novel, boxed up in the closet, with many of my other favorite comic novels. I just re-read it today, and forgot how good it was. I've had it since '95 or '96 and haven't read it since that time. And yes, it is very "George Orwellian"

Some dickwad critic in our local paper panned it, but I still wanna see it.

There is a lot of poignant stuff in there. America's war. Intolerance of homosexuals. Fear of famine. Religious extremism. In a way, it shows us what could very well be up the road in our futures. I really like what the film stands for.

I was really excited to see this, as I love the graphic novel. I was also really stoned WHEN I saw this on Saturday, and fell asleep for at least a half hour of it.

What I saw I liked. How weird is it to cheer for a villain who blows up government buildings as a means for revolution?

I saw it yesterday and it effected me to the very core. It makes you stand and look around. It's like the united states are sleeping at the wheel. I think to myself. What can I do too make a difference. I voted ~ was my voice heard? George Bush is still in office, we are still at war, the twin towers are gone, and we are being spied on here in our own country, we are afraid to stand up against our government ~ the fear is never ending. But that's what they want - fear and consumption. The more the American people are scared the more we dig our heads in the sand with our plasma TV's, big houses, and huge SUV's. We care more as a nation if Brad and Angelina are getting married than the boys dieing in Iraq and George Bush running our country into the ground. Something has to give. The movie shows how an idea can snowball into change if we do believe in something. Do we stand for injustice as people of same sex unions are denied the right to live their lives as a married couple with rights? Do we allow people to stand up and protest the president? Not anymore. What about the Patriot Act? How many constitutional rights were stripped away for that? We don’t want to have to worry about terrorist. We want the government to make that go away so we can go to Starbucks in peace. I will get off my soapbox now ~ I want change and I am going to figure out a way for my voice to be hear. I have never been political before but I am at the point for myself that I just can’t sit here and let this happen. I am taking my self off cruise control. For the first time in my life I am going to write my congressman. I am fed up. How about you?

I'm not slamming you, but I find it interesting that a movie stirs you to action, and not all the aforementioned atrocities that you've seen going on in the country. But I commend you. It was a great movie after all.

It wasn't just this movie (buy it had a huge impact). I guess it's been boiling over in me for sometime. My husband is a marine and I have been in experiences that have really shocked me to the core in the last year. This moive was just a spring board for what I have been feeling. My eyes feel like they are wide open and I can't go back to how I felt before.

I think the film has served it's purpose then. If you enjoyed the film as much as you seem to, i highly suggest the graphic novel.

I've heard tons of great things about this movie since yesterday. I kind of want to see it. BUT, I don't do masks (I have an intense fear) so I might wait til it comes out on DVD.

I too have had the comic books, ah-hem, s'cuse me, PC term: Graphic Novel for some time as well. Actually I think there are what 12 or 15 in the set, and I own all but a couple of them. Someday I'll just buy the condensed book, but I love having each issue of it. I am SO non-political, but it's a true testament to how wrong things are. I have yet to see it, but am really eager to. I hadn't even known that it was in the making, and when I did, I was like, OMG, the comic books....um, er. GN. lol Glad to hear it's getting good voice!

HAHA! I thought the same thing Jason, cause I f*ckin' hate clowns and mimes, etc. It's not that bad. You won't have nightmares or anything.
