I know people talk about different shows here but
I have never seen Fox's 24 mentioned... you cannot tell me that not a soul here watches this "masterpiece of drama and on edge suspense series"
Oh please say it ain't so...
I am totally obsessed by this show and have been for like 5 years-
It is just so frightenly believable you knoe there reallr ARE bad guys out tere.
Ok maybe Jack is too much of a Superman at times..but you have to cut him some slack...
OH MY GOD!!
Just look at the day he is having...
And you thought you were having a bad day? ha
So well acted, written, produced, I could go on an on-
Please tell me I am not alone in my fever of 24??

I'm watching. And reeling. I still can't believe the main-character body count so far. If they kill Chloe, I'm done. Period.
And Jean Smart is great. I've liked her in just about everything since Designing Women, and this is a real departure for her. I'm hoping she gets to do "something exciting" in regards to the plot. Like beat the crap out of the evil VP, and then kick her wimpy President-husband's butt too for listening to him.
And I'm hoping for a few more interesting twists - there haven't been many this season, other than them killing off a main character almost every week.

24 is BY FAR the best series on tv today.
season 5 is premiering here this week, but i'm downloading it, coz i can't wait that long. i was SOOOOOO pleased this last couple of weeks when they got rid of that fat turtle and then the useless hobbit, but why oh why the hell did they have to kill tony almeida? why couldn't they put kim bauer out of her misery instead? so unfair!
I have watched the first 4 seasons on DVD and now I 'm waiting for the 5th to come out. I can't tell what's with that show. I liked the first season a lot, cause it was new and surprising and all but then Jack Bauer started to get on my nerves and I also sometimes laughed at how unrealistic it was. But still, I couldn't stop watching it :)
I would also recommend Prison Break even though it's still early to tell :I think only 13 episodes have aired in the US, but I know many 24 fans who really enjoy it.

I watch it but I think Im getting reruns? the episode I just saw was where the german spy (rita? sorry Im still new to the show)is discovered and kills jack's wife and the Presidential (or is it Vice Presidential) candidate splits from his wife
Like I said, Im still new to it but it comes on right before the ONE show I always try to watch: ALIAS! OMG! Jennifer Garner is wonderwoman!
I know I am watching reruns of Alias but I think it is an awesome show...
they BOTH are :)

i think you just watched the last episode of season one.
I was about to post the same thing.
The name of the spy is actually Nina, and I don't think she is german, I think she just spoke the language.
BTW, the dvd includes a second ending, where the wife doesn't get killed. But that wouldn't make sense for the second season.

I can't believe they killed Tony that way. It just sucked. I definitely didn't see it coming, though.
I have watched this show obsessively from the beginning, and as much as it irritates me at times, nothing makes my jaw drop like this show does. The whole Edgar thing last week was crazy, but what I loved was Jack shooting the wife in the thigh. The look on Jo Beth Williams' face was priceless. It was almost as good a moment as the second season's "I'm gonna need a hacksaw."
