From the official Fleetwood Mac profile on myspace...it says the following:

Wednesday, March 08, 2006

Fleetwood Mac touring again SOON!

Fleetwood Mac; Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, will be bac on the road before you know it!! Plans are going forth and it's more than likely that Fleetwood Mac will tour in early 2007 for an anniversary tour of sorts (30 years since Rumours, 40 years since the bands beginning). Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Yay, I knew it!!! Hopefully they'll be touring behind a new album as well, not just a straight "Rumours" concert. Start saving those pennies everyone.

Not to be a downer, but none of the Stevie/Fleetwood Mac profiles on MySpace are "official." They're all created by fans. Whoever made that one probably just read John's latest Q&A responses (which mention a tour early next year) and posted a bulletin.

Wowee another Rumours anniversary tour !Why they should have one every year. There can never be enough of those ! And this time no pesky new songs to work out! I couldn't be more beside myself with unbridled elation and boundless anticipation to hear such rarities as "Dreams' The Chain ' and "Gold Dust Woman'!!:blob1: :blob2: :blob1: :blob2: :blob1: :blob2: :woohoo:

Yeah I am sure the four of them can whip together an entire ,brand new album from 'the ground up' and have it ready in plenty of time for an early 2007 tour ,after all they do work very quickly !

Oh jeeze, now you've gone and gotten me all hot & bothered. Landslide would TOTALLY kick ass! I hope that I get to see it done once in my life.

With all this talk of the rarities coming out, do you guys think there's any chance of them dusting off Gypsy or maybe even, dare I say, Don't Stop?! Do you guys even remember those ones?!

Dear Stevie: Please stop with the grossly overplayed tunes. We do NOT want to hear Storms or Sisters of the Moon AGAIN. Sorry. Maybe some other time.

Yeah, I wouldn't take that too seriously, I mean, clearly Fleetwood Mac is not going to be releasing any "Official" information through a myspace site - that's just silly. OH well, I'm going to go say hello to Stevie through HER myspace site! I just LOVE reading about how she's doing on there, looking at her comments about her Astrology profile, etc.

Weeellll now  let's see if this tour does take place as planned I think Mr. Lindsey Buckingham needs to make a public apology to Don Henley and his fellow birds of prey for his comment about Fleetwood Mac not doing nostalgia tours with no new material just to rake in the cash.

Cool if they played, but pleeeeease I hope they let Rhiannon take a rest for a while!! I think Sara or Storms can enjoy 2007 better!!!

And Tango in the night, the song!! Instead of ISA.
And Monday morning could be a new(old) opener!!!

Don't count on much folks. My guess if we are lucky they might pull put a rareity or two and maybe some new stuff not yet performed from SYW and then the rest will be the stale hits they have been doing for years.

Yep... Unfortunetly I think this is what they'll do. :(
Epecially if they don't have a new album to tour with... then it will be a "Farewell/Reunion" type thing, which will be some new SYW stuff and old stuff they have been doing for years. Ohh well... just so long as they are still touring, I'm happy :p

Edit : But maybe if they think this will be their last tour they might do some new (old!) stuff. Like sara (please, please!!!)

I'd like to second all of that, as a European fan who has yet to see a concert.

Thanks for sticking up for us!

I'll third it. I wouldn't care what songs they played as long as I get to see them. I would be annoyed if they didn't play ISA and I'd love to see Tango done. Bleed To Love Her as well since it's one of my faves.

I'll join in the sending European vibes, I have to see them :blob2:

I know how you feel...I just missed the 2004 SYW by literally about a fortnight with my fandom

I missed SYW by a couple of months. They were here in November, I was hooked by about April.

But I wouldn't have liked to have gone to the concert not knowing any songs and coming away and THEN becoming obsessed. I feel that way about missing a Tears for Fears concert last year too. I'll appreciate it more now when they come back.

When, not if!!

But I wouldn't have liked to have gone to the concert not knowing any songs and coming away and THEN becoming obsessed. That's your mistake right there.

When you're dealing with a band that has been around for 40 years & is apparently on its last legs, you have to make the commitment to go see the show, regardless of whether you like the songs or not. The fact that you didn't like the songs is no excuse--you should have gone to see Fleetwood Mac when they played your country just two short years ago. The band is extremely old at this point. It's not going to keep swinging back through Europe or Australia every year. Those days are done.

Let that be a lesson to ALL you ledgies: wherever Fleetwood Mac plays from here on out, you'd best go see them, whether you are a huge fan or not. Otherwise, you will be stuck three years from now wishing you had gone to see them & waiting for their next swing through ... only there won't be a next swing through because the members of Fleetwood Mac can finally take a lump-sum distribution on their IRAs.

That is my lesson to you: DO NOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT TIME.

No, no, you've got me wrong.

When they played here, I had no idea who they were. I only found that out sort of February-ish. And was obsessed by April. When they were playing I had no idea who they were or even that they were here.

They will be back to your country, & you will get to see a GREAT Fleetwood Mac show, filled with all the hits: Rhiannon, The Chain, Go Your Own Way, Gold Dust Woman, Oh Well, Thrown Down, Stand Back, etc.

To be discovering Fleetwood Mac is truly a wondrous thing. There's an innocence to it ... a cleanness ... a sense of purity, of resolve, of hope for the future. :blob1: :blob2:
