Was Benmont Tench in love with Stevie?

[vermicious knid]

I keep thinking that I once read on the internet that Heartbreakers keyboard player Benmont Tench was in love with Stevie. If I did not just make this up, I am thinking it was not a quote by Benmont himself, but told by some other fellow musician. Does anybody remember reading something like that?

Every guy who ever met Stevie was in love with her. :wavey: She has an exquisite femininity and all that.
But no, I never read that Benmont Tench (coolest nerd name ever) was in love with her.
Glad I could be of help.

I have met Benmont and talked to him about Stevie. I could see him having a crush on her..in the beginning..now they are close friends. She wrote IMPERIAL HOTEL for Benmont on RAL. FYI Benmont is a stage name. His REAL name is Benjamin.http://www.nicksfix.com/sn0013.jpg

IN-teresting!!!

"Well, you can get her
But you can't keep her
And you can't catch her fall
She will call you
When she needs you
You know where she lives..."

I found a picture of him, here: http://www.mollythomas.com/Photos/mol&benmont1large.jpg

He was a heartbreaker, wasn't he!

[David]

She wrote IMPERIAL HOTEL for Benmont on RAL.Stevie & Benmont used to party at the old Sunset Marquis, & that's the pseudonymous hotel of the title.

Yes I do. I think it might have been David who said it.
