So what are y'all consuming?I just got back from 90 minutes of weights at 24-Hour Fitness. I wish some of those sweaters would wipe down the damn equipment after they're done.
Right now, I'm having a sockeye salmon & skin sandwich on whole wheat bread with French herb mustard & raw spinach epaulets. I need something to drink, though.
After lunch, it's bowel movement time & shower! The rest of the afternoon will be spent with my Beethoven piano sonata lectures from The Teaching Co. & my Schirmer scores.

Today - coffee, OJ, breakfast burrito in a spinach herb wrap (eggs, a mix of cheeses, Cholupa sauce).
Did a bit of grocery shopping last nite - used my coupon to try Haagen Das Lite - S'mores -1/2 the calories. Yum!

Last night I had spinach salad with some sliced filet mignon on top. This morning I had organic coffee, 1/2 a breakfast burrito and some Trinity water. I also did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 200 sit ups and some stretching. I ran again yesterday and this week I hope to get back on my bike for the first time in seven months. :)

Leftover polenta with sundried tomatoes. I have pulled it out of the fridge so long after dinner just to make sure I really liked it. MmmHmm, I still like it.
For exercise today, I chased a toddler up a hill, carried him around a mile-long track, and went up and down a mega slide with him a dozen times.

I had the Friday and Saturday munchies. I get one free Ben n Jerry's a month from my phone company, and there's no way I won't eat that whole thing at once. It's really not very much ice cream. Mint Cookie.
Last night I enjoyed a savory bag of chips in addition to *several* little debbie peanut butter wafer chocolate bars. Plus I had regular dinner, a Boca Burrrrrrrrito. I had baby spinach and tomatoes in my burrrrrrito, David. :wavey:  Oh, and I bought a coconut and have been eating that! It's really good for you, this is my first one. It was a bitch to crack open, but the meat really is good. I will have some right now. :woohoo:
Oh yeah, and french fries cooked in coconut oil both days. I sprinkled fresh rosemary on them, it was good.

Yeah, probably Kettle.
This weekend's intake has been fairly anomalous, though, so it's fine.
Hey, you should eat some coconut. It has a special lipid that nothing else besides breast milk has - the lipid has antibiotic and uh...a bunch of other cool properties that make people healthy, strong, beautiful, and thin.

My roommate is addicted to these at the moment so I stole some and they are pretty good! I just got a big bag of Trader Joe's cheese puff thingys, hopefully those are good, they are all natural. The FD&C yellow #2 red #5 (or whatever the colors) in Cheetos scare me. According to Dr. Weil you should avoid artificial coloring because the molecules are volatile and can damage your cells. However, a little here and there won't hurt!
I just ate a Trader Joe's muffin, cranberry orange, that has so much fiber in it that it is really filling and low cal. Yum. Plus coffee, always coffee in the morning, I love coffee.

Jist so you know, diet soda stores formaldehyde in your fat cells. :wavey: Also studies have shown that people who consume diet soda are more hungry and lose less weight. I forgot if those two things are related. Also soda rapidly disintegrates your teeth. I just got back from the dentist and I had a buttload of cavities, so I'm really considering cutting way back on the soda.
I drink diet soda, too - I try not to, but I still do. :p

Anyway, I've heard about the formaldehyde thing with diet sodas, but I thought it affected your liver. In fact, I've heard that drinking too much diet soda can pickle your liver! Of course this could just be an urban legend, but  if it isn't.

You missed the part where chemicals in all soda disintegrate your teeth. It's not the sugar, it's something else.
And i'm not sure exactly what I got cavities from, but the amount of soda I drink could be a large contributing factor.

Yum! I love yogurt smoothies, but they're usually too expensive for me to justify getting them.
I finally got a blender, and made my first homemade smoothie last night - strawberries, blueberries, vanilla almond milk, a bit of fresh raw coconut, a smidge of coconut oil, ice. It was good, not very sweet, but sweet enough. :) I'm happy.

Are you kidding? You're kidding, right?
We have lots of swimming rivers here in California. I grew up around a confluence of several of them. Also, when I moved to Chico, there are two swimming rivers there as well. Yes, it's outside, it's 105 degrees, and you go to swim at the river. It's the California poor white trash summer pastime. Bring the beer!!! Better yet, Smirnoff twisters - light, refreshing, and fruity!
hehehe.
I pretend I'm a primitive native american girl all day. I hop on rocks and gather food and get tan. My name is "Otter".

Yes Otter, I'm kidding. I just happen to be a bit of an "indoor" girl. Camping for me is having drinks on an outdoor patio. Although I have been known to go floating down the river on an innertube (voluntarily) when its nice and hot out.
Incidently I had my first Smirnoff twister this weekend at a hockey game - green apple. It was really good, but I don't think I could have more than a couple of them because they are pretty sweet. Next time you're out rivering, try Strongbow. Its good ****! A nice alternative to beer and not too sweet.

Good! I shall! Those are very sweet for me, too, but my friend Rain likes them.
Yeah, "tubing" - lots of people like that. I don't so much, because you are not swimming and being in the river.
Oh, and German Chocolate Cake. I just polished off a piece.

Sadly the river I tube on is not terribly deep so swimming is not an option. Unless you're looking for some bloody, scraped knees.:(

I'm now white wining. I have to play crumple ball and string with my best cat, though, it's his little kitty birthday. 3/6/99. He's my baby - and he's seven now, so I gotta squeeze every moment. Plus I have to put my journal together. These next two weeks are assignment and midterm due weeks.

Aww, your cat is so cute. Happy birthday to him!
I have 2 cats and they are my babies. I am so attached to them that when my husband and I go on vacation, I call and leave them messages. LOL!
Anyway, cats can live a long time. My parents cat and our neighbors are both 16 years old and they are in good health so who knows how long they will live. They are indoor cats so I think that makes a difference for sure but I sure hope my cats live a long life. I cant imagine my life without them.

I had a dreamy dinner consisting of a variety of French cheeses, pate, smoked oysters, olives and a nice chilly bottle of Pinot Gris. Ahhh, sometimes you just need to do these things for yourself. I have some leftover lemon creme Oscar cake in the fridge so I think I might attack that next.

You just named all of our river food. Minus wine, only because my parents don't drink.
Brie, crackers, smoked oysters, olives. Okay, we don't usually have pate, but if we did, I would eat it.
Lovely dinner.
I had, on my class break, garlic mashed potatoes with a rosemary glaze sprinkled with dill. They sell them at the big many food places below Macy's in Union Square. Delish. I will have to eat again, though. Unless my glass of white wine tides me over...Damn you, Suze!!!
Oops, sorry about that. That made me crave wine too but I didn't have it because the fried clam splurge was enough. But I'm going out tonite so I'll be having some, yum!
Eating all natural turkey bologna with havarti from Trader Joes. It is really really good!

Oatmeal is good if you put in walnuts and some cinnamon, maybe some raisins too. Walnuts are very healthy and have omega 3s!

Hmmm, I'll have to try that. Yeah, plain old oatmeal gets boring when you eat it day in, day out. I think oatmeal is good for your heart and cuts cholesterol or something, so I guess that's pretty good.

What kind of pepper do you use? The ingredients show it has bell pepper but I don't really like that. I sauted the onions in butter before I added them, yummy. The tomatoes add a lot of moisture and color and complements the flavors really well. I'm not so much into food that makes your nose run and throat close though so I didn't add any additional hots.
What is the Zatarin family like? Also, I had no idea Tobasco was a name, it is so ingrained in me as a sauce I thought it was a different name for pepper or something.

I didn't think anyone still drank Fresca, except me.:o
Actually, Tab is my main addiction, with Fresca being second.
Tab IS my coffee. Two cans when I get up everyday. That's usually my only caffeine intake for the day. My Mom got me hooked on Tab, waaaaay back when. It's REALLY hard to find anymore. Our Coke district only makes it in 12 packs now. They stopped 2 Liter production about 4 years ago.:distress:
Tab was the first diet drink(afaik). Who knows what T.A.B. stands for?
Totally Artificial Beverage! It's the only one still made with saccharin, afaik.

If I had a dollar, for everytime I've heard, in the grocery checkout, "I didn't think they still made that stuff"(Tab), I'd be rich. Someone says that, almost everytime I buy it. Being caffeine free is one of the reasons I still drink Fresca, although I really like the taste, too.

Here is a typical Weight Watcher Day In Food (for me):
Breakfast: 2 cups of coffee with Equal and fat free non-dairy creamer
2 veggie patties
1 scoop fat free cottage cheese
1 fuji apple (this is actually a mid-morning snack)
Lunch: Weight Watchers Southwestern Rice and Beans
1 orange
Dinner: Grilled Chicken (two small boneless chicken breasts marinated with ginger salad dressing)
Yellow and Green squash, onions, and garlic sauteed in 1 tsp of Olive oil and spices
Snack- Yet another fuji apple
In there, I will drink 4-6 8 oz glasses of water and a half a glass of 2% milk.
I am managing to lose 1-2 lbs a week this way. It's actually SO much more food than what I ate back when I was a skinny smoker. But my job is majorly boring and I have a lot of time on my hands.
