OK so we've all seen the Wish list and what we would LIKE to see happen, so this thread is about what we think WILL happen.

What fo you think we have to look forward to this year? What will the future hold for FM and its members?

Oh dear oh dear oh dear ....

Well ... I really hope they do a tour. To Europe, I mean. But the likelihood of that happening isn't particularly great.

But then again this band is as unpredictable as Irish weather, so ... watch this space I suppose. :blob1:

yeah, same.

I'm looking forward to a Stevie DVD, the release of Lindsey's DVD in the UK and whatever he has planned for the summer (as John mentioned)

This year? Nothing, Fleetwood Mac-wise. We might see a release or two from Stevie. Apparently some new hits compilation is on the roster, and she'll probably release a CD or DVD of the Melbourne show with the orchestra before the end of the year.

I'm not holding my breath on Lindsey releasing anything.

Next year? Who knows. It's all but impossible to predict with this band. I'd really like to see some kind of reunion with Peter (and, ideally, Jeremy). Record an album, play a few shows, whatever. I mean, is there really any reason for them not to do this? Mick and John aren't up to anything otherwise, at least musically, and I can't imagine why Peter wouldn't want to play with them (or they with him), if the opportunity or suggestion came up.

I think we'll see the next set in the Vaudeville Years, Show-biz Blues, Madison Blues series. (the Welch/Kirwan years!)

Bestill my heart... Is there actually such a thing in the works, or rumoured to be? Don't tease us like this, man.

I'd love something like the Madison Blues box set, but from the 1971-74 years. Is this just wishful thinking or have you heard something?

I think John McVie and Mick Fleetwood will get back together with Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan and go on tour. Christine McVie will also join them on keyboards and vocals while Bob Brunning will be in the audience of at least one gig. His subsequent review will claim that Mick asked Stevie to join the Mac first.
I'm afraid they will only tour the UK and Germany though.

Stevie Nicks meanwhile will meet Jim O'Rourke and be intrigued enough to go into the studio to work with him resulting in a double album of material that relaunches her career. Jeff Tweedy, Jenny Lewis and Thurston Moore will guest. Critics will call it the best work of her career. Rolling Stone will feature her on its cover for the second time dubbing her the "Comeback Queen Of Rock". She goes on a worldwide tour taking in the UK and Europe twice. Her success prompts her record label to reissue all her solo albums remastered with bonus tracks. She will celebrate by buying a third Yorkie and call it Jim in honour of Mr O'Rourke.

Cameron Crowe, delighted by Lindsey's contributions to Elizabethtown, persuades Buckingham to record the soundtrack to his next movie, about a music journalist turned movie maker who marries a big-haired female rock star. Lindsey agrees inspired by his pal Tom Petty's work on She's The One. Crowe is so thrilled with the results he forms his own record label in order to release Lindsey's future albums. Lindsey also comes to the UK to play an intimate solo show that only I and a few carefully selected Ledgies will be asked to attend. Lindsey is so happy he will agree to do a Q&A on the Ledge.

I have looked into my crystal ball and this is what 2006 holds for Fleetwood Mac, no doubt about it.

Ya know...it all sounds plausible...except for the part about Danny Kirwan. That'll never happen. Peter? Sure. Jeremy? Ok, I'll buy into it. But, Danny? Nah...no way.

Yeah but never say never although it is 99.99999999999999999% unlikely ever..

But, tell me 10 or 12 years ago Pete would rejoin Fleetwood Mac and I would have had you admitted to a secure unit...

Hehe.

Anyone else think Cameron Crowe should do a FM bio pic? That's if I don't get to it first.

I've always wondered what kind of material he got from those 1977 interviews w/ them that he didn't put in his article. I'd love to see him do a biographical film on FM.
