What ONE (ok, maybe two) image, concert, etc. do you think represents Stevie at her sexiest?

To me, it would have to be the Playboy photoshoot and the picture below in my signature. That whole SNL Stand Back performance was sexayyy.

I just answered this and it didn't show up. Weird.
Yeah, that SB was way sexy. I loved her dancing.
I would pick Japan Rhiannon and GDW. But stevie is almost always sexy, so it's hard to say. I would also pick Chain and SOTM from Mirage.

That she looked so good at 49 made her a lot sexier to me than any of her younger looks.

1. When she was hot & young back in 1976, either floating around onstage at Days on the Green or on the back of the Rumours album (DJs used to masturbate on the air with that one).

2. When she was a little older & plumper but a blues mama growling her way through Rhiannon at the late Tusk Tour shows, spreading her boots apart & pointing her toes out, swaying & squatting like Sacajawea examing deer tracks.

amber

I can't believe Stevie was the same age as I am now while singing for TUSK. :distress: And we think of that as young, fairly fresh voiced Stevie, but I feel old.

Plumper, David? hardly barely. Nice inclusion of Sacajawea, though.

The White Winged Dove tour is the best. Best hair, best body - just divine.
See, like I said, it's hard to find a not sexy Stevie. This is not, I repeat not, an invitation to post bad pics of Stevie.
I have always adored twirling see through tube dress fun in the sun easy free Tusk video Stevie. There's better shots than this, but...she was so happy that day.

It's like the biggest most well rounded antioxident ever. And it's both water and oil soluble, is the thing. There is one thing - there is both an R form and an L form - the R form, I think, is the great one, but recent studies have shown the L one puts inhibiting factors on the working of the R one - and most products mix both. It's still great, though. But - I just discovered it and have done limited research - there's surely an only R form out there. I read on one site that it would be better to get the ingredients and make your own, so apparently it's out there. then they had a link to making your own cosmeceuticals site, and it's not that hard at all. Omigosh, it's most plentiful source is red meat! Weird.
Here's a snippet:
"Alpha-lipoic acid also plays an important role in the synergism of antioxidants, what Packer prefers to call the body's "antioxidant network." It directly recycles and extends the metabolic lifespans of vitamin C, glutathione, and coenzyme Q10, and it indirectly renews vitamin E.

In Germany, alpha-lipoic acid is an approved medical treatment for peripheral neuropathy, a common complication of diabetes. It speeds the removal of glucose from the bloodstream, at least partly by enhancing insulin function, and it reduces insulin resistance, an underpinning of many cases of coronary heart disease and obesity. The therapeutic dose for lipoic acid is 600 mg/day. In the United States, it is sold as a dietary supplement, usually as 50 mg tablets. (The richest food source of alpha-lipoic acid is red meat.)"

Also Dr. Perricone's skin treatment thingy has a lot of info on it. Just google if you want more. I've been reading the studies - and there's some conflicting or inconclusive studies.

There are too many studies done in the States... Life used to be so straight forward. Definitely Tango Stevie. Seven Wonders, Little Lies, the Tango DVD ... all that. Tango through OSOTM. I think it was the hair that did it. And the awesome earrings!

Big, AWESOME sprayed bangs if you don't mind. :]

I actually have no idea why I love this so much. I just think she pulled off the big eighties hair so much better than anyone else at that time. It looked great, especially for the Rooms on Fire video. When I think of awesome Stevie hair, that's what I think of. But Seven Wonders was pretty damn class too. But I think Lindsey took the biscuit there for sexy hair.

Was it my imagination but in the videos to Little Lies and especially Seven Wonders, Stevies nose looks more angular. Was this make up, camera angles or did she have a nose job at some point? Come to think of it, when did her septum fall out?

I don't think it's surgical because her nose has the same profile in The Dance period to present as it did pre Tango. I think it must be makeup because her nose appears more angular in the Tango era videos, at least to me.. There's the image of her sat down in the Little Lies video with a profile shot and it looks sharper than usual.

You gotta remember that peoples facial features change as they get older anyway. Fat moves around, muscle structures change. It's entirely possible it's just a buildup of fatty tissue in the lip area thats accumulated over the years and with lipstick it's being accentuated.

You gotta remember that peoples facial features change as they get older anyway. Fat moves around, muscle structures change. It's entirely possible it's just a buildup of fatty tissue in the lip area thats accumulated over the years and with lipstick it's being accentuated.

I really should get back to the other forums... I'm in danger of turning I fear...

Hehe. Usually, though, lips get thinner as the face ages. If there's a buildup of fatty tissue around Stevie's lips, I think it was added by a surgeon. This recent photo from the Australian mag sealed the deal for me. Her top lip doesn't look like her lip anymore. Yes, she cheated the line a little with the lipstick, but not THAT much... to me, anyway.

Yeah, I can't tell. We need a current lip one, too. They look much fuller now to me. Well, at least the top one does.

Since we're talking about beauty products...

Amber - I'm a big fan of Dr. Perricone - I love the eye area cream. I'm in the store and I say "I don't want to get wrinkles around my eyes...What can you give me?" And they made a beeline for Dr. Perricone. :-)

For all you La Mer folks out there, I'm curious about the cost. I always thought it was in the thousands!! What's a good, inexpensive (okay - less expensive) source?

Lips - Have you guys ever tried "Lip Venom?" It's a lip plumber that you put on just like lip gloss. It WORKS! It stings a bit, but IMO, that's how you know it's working. ;-) (I always put it on and think to myself "He reminded me of Lip Venom..." I'm such a nerd).

I use creme de la mer and it's $195 for 1 oz. As far as lips go, I use City Lips each night before bedtime and use Freeze 24/7 lip plumper throughout the day. I don't usually use any eye cream cause I don't really need it...but when I do, I use Clinique.

okay - my vote for the sexiest pics - the ones that vanessa just posted on the previous page to compare the lip plumpness. all but that last one are incredibly sexy. i also agree she was pretty alluring in the gypsy video. if i were a guy, and straight, those are the looks i'd go for. for now, i just want to look like that.

Okay - so the lips have probably been poofed. I vote no on the nose. For awhile I thought so, but I checked her nostrils in a recent pic (I thought she had gotten her nostrils less pigged, however you do that. ) and they were there in full nostril flarage. So I think that's just an angle thing.

golddustorm -
- I have lip venom, I don't use it much cause it's too gluey.
- what's Dr. Perricone's eye cream made of? I was reading through his book at whole foods ( ) have you tried his anti inflammation diet? All I did was notice how awesome alpha lipoic things were, and I got some in pill form, and some topical serum.

madformac - yeah, silly, lips get thinner. :p The cartilage in noses and ears never stop growing.

I agree - the lip venom isn't for everyday use necessarily. But, it's FUN for special occasions!

The eye cream has the now infamous alpha lipoic acid in it. I find it to be pretty expensive ($66 for .5oz), but if it does what it promises, then I'm willing to pay!

I'd like to know what color lipstick Stevie's been using lately. It's not the true red that she's worn in the past. I like it - especially the color she had on for the Today Show.

From the pic that ghost tracker posted (the one from the magazine) it just looks like a more blue/red, it's kind of pink toned.
anyway - does that eye cream work? That's too expensive for me, although...my 1 ounce of serum was on sale for $14, normally it's $20, so per ounce that's more expensive. I love doing per ounce comparisons in stores.
Anyway - does it work? did you just start using it or something?
Also - I posted this in my blog, but...I just found the most awesome natural peel thingy. I got a fruit acid one at the doctor place, and this was similar. I'm really into natural ingredients, not superchemically ones.
it's MyChelle brand (mychelleusa.com) incredible pumpkin peel. It's all tingly, it smells fricking awesome and...ingredients: super concentrated pumpkin extract, pumpkin wine, pumpkin enzymes, honey enzymes, pineapple extract, essential oil of orange and vanilla, d-beta fructan.
The point of the pumpkin is that it's very concentrated vitamin A, which is what retin A and accutane are based on. Recommended.

I started using it recently, so I'm not 100% sure. Because it's for wrinkle prevention, I would expect to not see it "working" as I have no wrinkles. So, in this case, seeing NO change is the objective. It does work well as a general moisturizer though. :)

I'll have to try that pumpkin peel. It sounds more like a dessert than a face treatment!

yeah, I was pleasantly suprised at the smell. It is really good. I love pumpkin - I just ran out of my super good oils pumpkin spice soap that was a limited edition halloween thing.
But anyway - that makes sense about the cream, duh. I just have fine lines starting by my eyes, and faint forehead lines - so I didn't think about that. :)

I've never thought Stevie had major plastic surgery, like on her nose or anything. I've just kind of speculated that maybe she's had a little botox or lift or something. I just don't see how you can be nearing 60 and have the face she does. Again, whatever she's doing, she's doing it right.

It's not really for that. It's just a regular strong exfoliation peel. My skin lady has a line that gets rid of dark spots and uneven skin tone and helps with other things, but it's kind of expensive. I'm going to give something OTC a try first. I made an appt. with her for a laser treatment b/c I have a little darker pigment above my lip (yay) but she said it couldn't be treated by laser.

Lindsey must have taken your sig pic judging from Stevie's face.

A laser peel is pretty invasive, Amber. So be careful with that. Oh wait- you just said you're NOT having that done. I have dark pigment over my lip too (from my infertility meds-yay for me too) and my dermatologist gave me some bleach cream that doesn't work. Let me know how you handle that- because I don't like it looking like I have a mustache.

Apparently it's not invasive enough to get rid of dark pigment caused by hormonal changes. And when the hell did I have hormonal changes?! I'm not taking anything.
Well...do you want me to tell you the name of the line my lady uses? It appears to work pretty darn well. I looked at lots of pictures, and of course she's been using it for a couple years. And apparently people don't necessarily need to have the entire line of products to get some good effects, so maybe it could be cheaper for you. I'm kind of on the fence about dropping $525. But actually I did the math and that was cheap considering all the dr. (okay, she's not a doctor...an aesthetician? She went to nursing school and then special skin school) appts and treatments and products it included. But - she did tell me that another reason not to get laser on it was because it most likely would "keep growing back" anyways. *shrug*.
oops, I'm talking to much again. Dork.

I could find a picture of Stevie from every era where she looks incredibly sexy but I would have to agree that her sexiest period was in her very late 30's a la TITN. Before that (or at least in her 20's through early 30's) she had a very young, playful, and vulnerable look about her. Even at 35 she looked in her 20's to me. I find it more sexy when she became a little harder looking and owned her sexuality a bit more. I think that was after the RAL period where she was definitely a woman, not a little girl and I find Stevie the woman oh so sexy. Oh and the big hair and bustiers do it for me too ;)

Was it the Hold Me video where she was in the desert in a red dress and laying on a couch having a portrait made of her? That is my sexiest Stevie ever! (even though it's earlier than the period I just mentioned) Wish I could find a pic of that :( Anybody?

apologies if someone already posted this shot. I'm quickly reading thru things, and could have missed something - but for me, this shot of Stevie is the quinessential sexy Stevie. This is the Steve I've always wanted to be...there are so many moments of her with Mac that are amazing - but I must have gone through a ton of similiar spagetti strapped Danskins like this when I was a teenager in order to emulate this style. Hell - I could still pull this off. Wonder if they still make them leotards?

Right on, couldn't find the boots one with a quick google search. That is partly why its so hot, the fact that you barely got a glimpse! Phew.

Totally, I love the theme of Lindsey painting her and then she is painting herself!

I also think she is totally hot in the Talk to Me video and I love all the costume changes. Can't find a good pic though.

I like her in the white in some weird playground looking shot.

She's also hot on the floor in brown fanning herself and showing off her ample mounds.

No, the grey dress is in that weird volcanic thingy. This one is all in white with one boots and she's twirling in a weird colorful scene. It's a quick shot. And there is an oversized umbrella.

Thank you darling! I'll take the kudos for thinking of that one (and BC for posting the screen cap) and may I remind you what great taste you have ;).

That's not Stevie. There's a thread about the girl who "acted Stevie" in the video somewhere on here....and how she got to be in the video.

What ONE (ok, maybe two) image, concert, etc. do you think represents Stevie at her sexiest?

To me, it would have to be the Playboy photoshoot and the picture below in my signature. That whole SNL Stand Back performance was sexayyy.
SNL was THE BEST!!!

I can't believe Stevie was the same age as I am now while singing for TUSK. :distress: And we think of that as young, fairly fresh voiced Stevie, but I feel old.

Plumper, David? hardly barely. Nice inclusion of Sacajawea, though.

Believe me, you're not in any way old at 31. That's not even prime time yet. Anyway, Stevie always looks ten years younger than her true age

And I think she is sexy gorgeous in the Seven Wonders video.

I CONCURE!!!!!

7 Wonders video OMG  she is HAWT YO!!!

I choose "Silver Springs" video from The Dance.

That she looked so good at 49 made her a lot sexier to me than any of her younger looks.
