I am trying to post the clip of Beautiful Child from Melbourne for you guys. It is big though (131 MB) and it either won't take it on YouTube and is taking forever on yousendit.

Can someone tell me how to break it up into two clips or where I can go to download it so it won't take hours? I have broadband.

that's weird...I've posted many songs (long ones) onto yousendit. have you tried rapidshare? it can take about 15 minutes at the most that I've seen. if you want to email it to me I'll give it a shot

Ok sent the email. I tried rapidshare and got an error message when I clicked upload so who knows? This isn't my computer so it's formatted a little differently than mine at home.

Actually I have the whole show! :thumbsup: :blob2: I will upload it soon if I can and hopefully I will have some more from Brisbane show tonight!

Too bad you can't get it up on YouTube. Did you record the show yourself? Or was it from a friend?

Either way if you posted IAF you would be my new best friend. :wavey:

If you've got the whole show, it might be easier to start up a torrent for it rather than uploading a bunch of individual files. That way the whole show could get out to many more people much faster.

unless of course you are like me and still have no Idea what the hell a "torrent" is, or how to up load or download it.:rolleyes: :confused: :shocked:

It might be your Internet service provider restricting your up load useage....sometimes I can download something at 700kb's per second...but only upload at 5kb's per second...it might be something you could look in to??:thumbsup:

The file is so big (131 megs) probably because it's still a WAV (or uncompressed) file. You can download this free program, CDex (http://www.download.com/3000-2140-10226370.html), or any number of other free programs that will convert your WAV into an MP3. An MP3 is much smaller & you should be able to upload that on YouSendIt or one of the others.

In other words, you need to digitally compress the file.

Please do torrent it! :blob2: There is a tutuorial at the top of the Chit Chat forum. If you torrent it, I will download it and rip it to mp3's and post it on yousendit for those of you unable to use bittorrent. This is what bittorent was made for. :)

I know. I was right there with you for a while. If I'm able to get all these, I'll be glad to make cd's for those who can't download them all.

I don't mind waiting for songs to download that are normal MB length, but for over 100 id have to leave the computer on all night! :laugh:

I share your pain. I was on dial-up for ages ... Broadband has given me a whole new lease of life!

But it's a dreadful distraction when it comes to schoolwork ... it's always on ... it's right there ... it's so tempting, dammit! :laugh:

yah. i have dial up and my computer is practically on 24 hours a day :lol:
i'm in the middle of DLing the torrent for the DVD to one of the Vegas shows and OHMYGOD it's only g2 take a month to download :laugh:
but better slow net than no net at all LOL
