1. A live box set with selections from 1975 to The Say You Will tour.

Well, we've already got our live document of the Say You Will tour, and we've also got The Dance, and the Tango tour DVD. So I say instead of a compilation-type box set, let's get a couple of full concerts out there from the under-represented eras. An official release of a Mirage show would be nice, although a show from 1975 would be divine. And let's get a full Tusk concert out there as well. Live is a good enough album, but it's a bit scattershot, and there's too much stuff from 1977. (And of course, anything from 1971-1974 would be a true treasure.)

2. Mirage and Tango 2 CD sets.

Yes please! I don't even need bonus discs, as long as the albums themselves are properly remastered, and all of the various B-sides are tacked on there.

4. Buckingham Nicks on CD... yeah right!

I'll never understand why this hasn't been released yet. I know there had been some talk of the masters being lost or something, but surely they have some kind of tapes available (and "Long Distance Winner" on Enchanted disc 3 sounds just fine to my ears). This would be such a great cash cow; you'd think they'd release it for that reason alone.

At the very least, given the reaction at Soundstage, maybe the band will learn "Frozen Love" and incorporate it into some concerts should they ever tour again.

Any more?

As someone else mentioned, Stevie's catalogue needs a good remastering.

I'd love to see a new Fleetwood Mac album with Lindsey and Stevie actually writing material together, but I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon. In the meantime, I'll take a new solo album from either of them. Or a tour from either featuring lots of songs they've never or rarely bothered with before.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to this project? Ken Caillat had expressed interest in it and had a petition set up on the Penguin to gauge interest, but nothing ever came of it.

I don't know if anything will ever come of it. I mean, there are hundreds of thousands of Mac fans out there. Unfortunately not all of them visit the Penguin and/or signed the petition. That doesn't mean there wouldn't be interest out there in the general public in something like a video compilation DVD etc. I think maybe Ken was expecting thousands of signatures! who knows.

True. I'd love to see it happen though. I'd be there in a second.

I have a lot of the videos on bootleg DVDs, but the quality in sound and video varies enormously. It would be so nice to have all this lovely stuff in one place with good quality.

Well, we've already got our live document of the Say You Will tour, and we've also got The Dance, and the Tango tour DVD.

I don't really consider the Tango DVD to be a "definitive document" of the 1987-88 tour, so an upgrade to that (either DVD or CD) would be MORE than welcome.

So I say instead of a compilation-type box set, let's get a couple of full concerts out there from the under-represented eras. An official release of a Mirage show would be nice...

Well, the Mirage video is your "document" from that tour, but they should release one entire show (since two nights were filmed...I was at both, either show in its entirety could be released; so definitely one complete show could be gleaned from the footage...if not video, the audio only)

...although a show from 1975 would be divine. And let's get a full Tusk concert out there as well. Live is a good enough album, but it's a bit scattershot, and there's too much stuff from 1977.

And, I think an official release of something from both the 1990 & 1994/95 tours would be welcome, at least by me

(And of course, anything from 1971-1974 would be a true treasure.)

Preachin' to the choir there, brudda!

Yeah, time's running out...the longer they wait, the more people will have already downloaded it and not care.

1. Box set from the 1971-74 Bob Welch years, something similar to the Madison Blues box set.

2. A full Tusk concert on DVD. That 1979 Largo bootleg is great, but the quality is horrible.

3. The Tusk & Mirage videos on DVD.

4. Anything from Christine McVie.

Or just for kicks, how about that 60,000+ outdoor festival from Munich with Bob Marley opening that they showed on German TV?

Can someone please tell me why they film this stuff and then never release it? So frustrating! :blob2:They don't necessarily film all these concerts for commercial video releases, is why. Most of this stuff is filmed for marketing & promotional purposes (like Rosebud & all those concerts at the Crapital through the years), which includes taking what they need out of it for an MTV video (as was the case with the Red Rocks 1990 filming -- they used what they needed for the "Skies the Limit" video).

And, thank you for getting rid of "Stumpy The Two-Legged Horse". I think I'll still need therapy, though.

The missing masters is news to me. Where did you hear this?

What I last heard, Jyqm, is that Stevie wants to remaster and tinker with BN, but Lindsey wants to leave it as it is. I've also heard different stories on whether Lindsey or Stevie actually own the full rights. It's probably shared between them, but I really don't know. Yet one last thing for SN and LB to bicker about. I am confident it will be released, eventually.

What kills me is that bands who are nowhere near as popular as Mac have DVDs of live shows, video collections, etc. Can't be too expensive to produce, market & sell if bands like Cinderella, Helloween & Jackyl have stuff out there.

I agree. I love them. SNL, Solid Gold...so incredible. The TV shows were sort of Late Phase ... & give you a little indication of what her spring 1984 tour would have sounded like. I was all pumped & primed ready to go to her show at Anaheim Stadium (opening act: Julian Lennon), & then it all ****in fell through.

But I also love the pre-Late Phase of the October & November shows of the tour: Irvine, Tempe, Los Angeles, Roanoke, Lakeland, Tulsa, Little Rock, Charlotte, Greensboro. Videos from those are my Holy Grails. If you just looked at the transcribed words of Stand Back on paper, you wouldn't even recognize the song. It was great. And her eerie howling on the tag out of "How Still My Love" made ghosts come out of the arena walls.

The 1983 Stand Backs are really great. The one in Jason's sig espesh. At least in part for the awesome guitar-solo dancing!! I'm afriad I'm a sucker for it. Though the first time I saw it was on Red Rocks, and in the middle of this guitar solo this complete randomer just walks out on stage and starts dancing with Stevie, then vanishes again. Me:  I was so confused. Then I saw the video and it all became clear. Heehee.

But my favourite Stand Back ever [and this is my favourite song ever, I collect it] is either Live in Boston [the first one I ever heard] or on the Tango DVD. I've yet to decide...

5. The complete Stevie '83 show (the one that cuts off after Gypsy, the one where she picks Elaine up from the audience - was that a Largo show?)Yes, Largo/Landover ... the Crapital Centre. I have an old audience tape of it that goes all the way to the end, to Rhiannon. It's a pretty good Rhiannon, but it's just not the leg of the tour that was the most interesting. For that, you need to move forward in time ... to late September, October & November. Even the band got a little looser (I guess out of boredom).

David Mn, I am from Greece. I live in the capital, Athens, and we usually get to see a lot of big bands live (for example the Rolling Stones will be here in the summer for the 3rd time I think), but FM have never played here. I have written about this in another thread, I have always had the impression that they are not so big here. I mean, if you say "Fleetwood Mac" to someone, they'll probably say "oh, yes, Little Lies". I know a couple of people who own Rumours, because they are very much into music in general and they collect lots of classic albums, but I doubt that anyone I know is aware of Tusk, or the Dance, even.
Given the above, it doesn't surprise me that they don't come here, but it's still a shame:(
