As a Canadian, I feel it is my duty to educate the non-Canadians on this board - through a beer commercial.

Other resources are that fine documentary film Strange Brew, featuring the leading Canadianologists Bob & Doug MacKenzie, and the excellent book "How To Be A Canadian" by Will & Ian Furguson.

a little shock to their systems may not be a bad thing. they'll be okay. they've had a lot of distractions - but they'll be okay. :)
i'm so proud of so many of them - you should hear the cheering in our newsroom everytime any of our kids are up for medals. jennifer heil's was the loudest, of course - i was SO happy for her - but jeffrey buttle also caused quite a whoop! we all gasp, and moan when they fall - but the cheers for the medals are drowning out everything else. even the toronto buses now are flashing their route numbers - and then switching to "go canada!" i love it! :)

Amber, I must disagree - NOTHING is funnier that a Canadian accent. :p

I don't call it anything, dear. I didn't even know I had an accent until Amber insisted that I did. Never been told that before. I didn't know we Buffalonians had accents, but hey, at least we can pronounce "about" correctly.

Omigosh! It's totally just like new york from tv accent! I can't believe you didn't know. It really does make everything you say funnier, though.

I remember the first time I went to your place and I noticed how strong your accent was and I said, wow, you have a strong accent, what do you call that? and Mark pipes up and says "Buffalo?". It was so funny. Guess ya had to be there.

New York from TV? Like New York City? That's nothing like my accent (although I can imitate that one quite well because of all the Long Island/NYC kids that go to school here. And their parents who call me up screaming at me. )
I wonder if I have an accent when I say "bite me, bitches..." :wavey:
