Among other things...Well, not that this makes it any easier, but it'll be worth the wait!! DO you like that picture of me and Lindsey in my sig btw?

Gerald, do you own an all-region DVD player?

The Koch issue that I received some time ago from the States is region-free. At least the DVD drive of my PC doesn't ask me to change the region from 2 to 1 when I put it in.
Other than that, it is pretty cheap work in terms of packaging and menus. Hell, even the DVD label itself can be torn pretty easily. Been there, tried that.

Been meaning to ask about that .... Pray tell??
As for Soundstage ... I got an American copy. Region free DVD players are worth their weight in gold as far as I'm concerned.

Does it say on your Soundstage copy that it has a region code? Mine doesn't state it anywhere.

yes, I do, David. But when I buy a DVD of my hero I want it to be playable for all my friends and anyone I can influence. I still have a spread-the-buckingham-legacy-mission in life:eek:

I can wait a little longer. :wavey:

I'm Lindsey Jr, so I should make a "junior" soundstage! I will invite all you ledgies and yes, I will do some forgotten songs! You can film it, no problem. And I'll have no problem searching for a band, because there are many musicians here.
My point is: I want LB's Soundstage!!!!

Hey face of glass and Sahara
Do you have DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter: If so waht does DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter show the region coding as being?
I have resisted buying the US or AUS import as I was never satisfied that the region coding was either region 1 or region 0 (as most music DVD are)

Nope, don't have it, sorry.
If there's no region given is it safe to assume it's region free?

Holy Batlayer Neil! Thanks for reminding me about the existence of the Decrypter.
It does show regions 1-8 for the Soundstage DVD.

Ah, official misinformation. Well, that's what you get with Lindsey Buckingham-related products these days.

I've just played the Australian version of Soundstage that I have in my UK region 2 laptop and it plays fine. It's showing no macrovision enabled either..
It's fine to order this version for UK Ledgies, maybe better than the US version because it is in PAL not NTSC so the picture quality should be a little sharper.
It does say "Region 4" on the disc and cover but no doubt this is just for legal purposes I guess.

I have a copy of the TV Broadcast, hence why I have not got the release version earlier, but I need to get the release version for SYHA and I Am Waiting, plus I am a completist :o

Jeez. I got this a couple of months ago off of ebay (I'm in the UK). I don't have a clue what region it is, as it doesn't actually say, but playing it is perfect for me. Even on my old machine which isn't multi-region.

   must be an import... let me know!!So, I went there last week, they told me that the only copy they had (which was a German version, not an import) was already sold the day before I came in. Grrr. As I said earlier, musicstore.nl had a Feb 28 release date, and I ordered one from their site, and I was able to pick it up yesterday, in their store. So, I am looking at it right now. It's no import, it SAYS region 2, and it has a Dutch cover. :)

Thanks for the heads up danax6! I enjoyed it this weekend! By the way, his singing is GREAT! I especially like it when the emotion is taking over the control. I bet he doesn't like that, but I do!

Did it remind you of the "Well-Tempered Clavier" in its grappling with & ultimately resolving the sub-median to the tonic?

Do you mean that wonderful Christine-vocaltoned "ooohhh" coming out of the synth for the last minute or so??
