Just a heads up to all Aussies....Saw an ad on TV last night stating that:

Stevie will be performing at the Alan Border Medal awards night (Cricket's 'night of nights' :o ) on the 6th FEBRUARY held at Melbourne's Crown Casino.

This will be televised on channel 9.

This year’s presentation will feature music from chart-topping former Fleetwood Mac singer STEVIE NICKS on the eve of her Australian tour, and Aussie sensation SHANNON NOLL. Special guest is one of Australian cricket’s most colourful characters, DOUG WALTERS.

THE ALLAN BORDER MEDAL is awarded to Australia’s best cricketer of the past 12 months. Previous winners are Michael Clarke, Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden, Steve Waugh and Glenn McGrath.

Voting is set to be tight after after a year of mixed fortunes for the Australian team. Frontrunners are captain Ricky Ponting and world-record bowler Shane Warne. Michael Hussey, who made his test debut last year, is also tipped to be near the top of the leaderboard.

Other awards to be presented are Test Player of the Year, One-Day International Player of the Year, State Player of the Year, Australian Women’s Cricketer of the Year and the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year. The evening will also see two former players inducted into the AUSTRALIAN CRICKET HALL OF FAME.

Yes...I know what cricket is. I was in Melbourne and there was a "test" match between Australia and So. Africa on TV. It came on like 10 PM Aussie time. I fell asleep watching in the hotel. When I woke up about 6 AM this match was still going on...8 hours later. The score was something like 150 - 100 Apparently, the participants broke mid way for a 2 hour lunch. Think about it. Can you imagine this Sunday's NFL Super Bowl teams stopping at the half to break for lunch!!:lol:

Let me say with a bit of FRUSTRATION AND BAD STUFF.. that i dont hope or get excited about what stevies going to wear or even what SHE SAYS she is going to wear... Full of crap...

exhale... exhale.... Why i say this is because remember the numerous comments she made about what she would wear to melbourne cup... how her and Margi had had "so much fun with her outfits doing dresses etc... Load of bloody crap! She wore a dress from the 80's and on the saturday when she said she would wear something only a rock star could wear, she wore her rock and roll outfit!

Not a SINGLE new friken thing in sight!! Got me and a lot of other ledgies all excited for a gown and she wore rehashed stuff.. no new designer gear whatsofrikenever!

I just hope that they can edit the recording for JUST the stevie bit otherwise you guys are going to have to sort through like 90mins of boring crap!
