Guys - some of you might know that there's been talk about a book about Stevie coming out in March called "In Between Her Lines." I wanted to urge caution about pre-Ordering this book before we have more information.
There's several things that are bugging me.

1.) Why has she not listed a Publisher on her website?

2.) Why is she supposedly writing such a "NICE" book about Stevie, with such high, grand motivations, and yet is doing an end-run around Stevie in order to try to manipulate her into Authorizing this F'r? Would a "Nice" person be doing that?

3.) Who are these Celebrities she's supposely gonna be interviewing, in between now and March when the book is due out?

4.) Why is there nothing posted on Nicksfix about this? And no word from John yet on it what-so-ever? Silence from Kinney speaks volumes.

5.) How can she POSSIBLY be still gathering information on this book, when it is coming out in March? That's bull****. The Publishing industry simply doesn't work that way. Unless maybe she's self-publishing, but -

I'd urge caution about giving this person your credit card number, until we
have more information.

By the way, I did an Internet search for this person and there is NOTHING on her. . . .

I'm not making any accusations, but LOOK out, folks, the liars WILL come around! Let's hope I'm wrong - but be careful here.

Kinney omits even legit things to do with Stevie if they are unflattering to her image.Batmitvahpaloohzah anyone? Although the book is most likely rubbish in a league with the laughable Bob Bruning 'insider' book on Fleetwood Mac or the absurdly lame Ed Wincentsen books on Stevie. If however it is so bad that it is actually entertaining it might be worth a look though.

Like I said before, it won't be if it's in the vein of the brilliant unofficial Blondie book that came out a little while back. It would be fascinating if someone released something like that about Stevie; essays, photos, reviews, interviews, musical and cultural history (though there isn't a whole to be said about Stevie in those areas), etc. With all this talk about the book, we've still yet to even find out what the content is.

Yes it would be fascinating .However in the nearly 40 year career of Fleetwood Mac or the 25 + year career of solo Stevie Nicks nothing remotely like this has surfaced .So I'm not holding my breath that it will be like the Blondie book.If by some slim anomaly it is i'll buy it.

Actually, I get solicitations from publishers all the time for instant books or 'drop ins' (books not listed in the initial catalog), so a March publication is not out of the question.
However, the where I work, we have already placed orders for our stores up through the beginning of April, so if it is coming out, we would need to hear about it in the next week or so.

I agree with many of the comments being made. I wish to add, she claims to be such a major fan of Stevie and yet is trying to profit off of Stevie's name. Does she really think Stevie would approve of a "biography" about her when Stevie already shares what she wants to share via interviews, songs, etc. I don't for one second believe Stevie wants this "Author" to make money off of HER fans by selling an unauthorized book about HER. Stevie would never agree to this book. What sort of fan is this? The "Author" doesn't know Stevie. She's read the same articles and heard the same interviews WE ALL HAVE. If she's got some insight into Stevie never heretofore imagined, let her post her insights on a FREE FAN MESSAGE BOARD like the rest of the fans. She wants our $25.00 for this "honor?" Not gonna happen.

There's a few low scale "publishers" that will print anything for anyone, but She'll need to sell a few dozen copies to just break even for the fee that the "publisher" charges. I hope ONE person buys it, and puts it up on the internet so no one else will bother to waste their money on it. She is using official web sites and fan sites as links on her board making it appear as if she has their approval. She's clever. I give her that. But she's not getting my money. The fans here all shared their pictures for free. I won't buy them.

I say chill out and wait. See what happens...no sense in giving yourself a wedgie just yet.

Well, it's got to better than "Lady of the Stars"! That book is so sad, it is like a Middle School student project. Who did that guy have to sleep with to get that "book" published?

Don't bet your life on that notion. I think Ghost_Tracker is accurate in wanting to know who is publishing this latest fan scam.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened. Go to Barnes and Noble and you'll find tons of unauthrorized biographies. For the very casual fan they can be a nice way to learn about a person without having to read every website and message board. Sure it would be nice if Stevie wrote her own biography for us diehard fans, but we'll wait and see. In the meantime, just think of this book as the Behind The Music show in book form. As long as the information is accurate, someone will appreciate it. :)

This kind of book does nothing for me in terms of eliciting any kind of interest and excitement. In fact, I don't think this kind of book is even aimed at "us." Truly, until Stevie writes her book, there is very little chance that anyone is going to tell the big fans anything new. Let them publish it, whatever. A few hundred or thousand people may pick it up. But it'll be the same old stories, culled from magazine articles and interviews, regurgitated and retold. Any one of us could probably write this book.

Hmmm......

I wonder why nothing comes up when I do a search of the author, Sandra Halliburton? According to her bio she has had senior positions at Pfizer, the pharmeceutical giant. Anyone find anything?

I'm beginning to wonder if this book really exists.
