Which one did you miss? I didn't see this on the SW board, btw, someone emailed it to me. I figured it was old news since it's an "Independence Day quiz" but I don't recall taking it before.

Hey, what can I say? I was a History minor in college and had planned on becoming a History professor before my life derailed.

That's really cool. I love history, though that is not evidenced by my score....:p
And of course American history isn't necessarily the most fascinating...when is your favorite time? I enjoy the industrial revolution; the 1840's to 1930's or so in America.

8...Hated, repeat HATED Civics class in Jr.High (My racist teacher didnt like my reponse to who runs the country, Which I replied "Those with the most money"...She called my Mother in for a talk and found out my Mother's opinion was the same as mine.)

I did abysmally. However, I made sure that I now know all of the answers! I used to daydream during history class. :o

My speciality is European history from the medieval times through Napoleon- approximately the fall of the Byzantine Empire to just after the French Revolution. I am a history geek- I get all :] when I read/talk about it.
Has anyone besides me TiVo'd The Presidents on The History Channel?? I have been gorging myself on that program. Good stuff. They were courageous enough to talk about our gay president, but not courageous enough to talk about one of our most racist presidents. Oh, well... nobody's perfect.

Who's our gay president? Who's the most racist? I would watch it if I had cable.
Isn't that Mariel's specialty, too? Weird.

Who's our gay president?
James Buchanan. He never married and he lived with his lover, Vice-President William King (v.p. under Franklin Pierce) for sixteen years.
Who's the most racist?
Woodrow Wilson.

Hey, he's one of my ancestors. That's about the only interesting, non-****ty thing I've ever heard about him!

He's kind of the Edward II of the U.S. He chose to be ineffectual, which is why he's so reviled. He certainly should have never been president, however, there are worse ones out there.... Dubya, for one.

I got a 21, but then again, US History never interested me in the slightest. You should see my notebooks from those classes - full of doodles.
