According to the registered members list, there are 2,653, and that's world wide. My guess is there are at least 100 from metropolitan Los Angeles. After all, LA is the base for the rock recording industry and Stevie lives here (OK, Santa Monica, I won't quibble)

I'm in L.A. too :wavey:. There are a few of us around... I can think of at least 5 more regular posters. Most that I know only lurk here, though.

Well Marisa, if you organize a fan party I'm sure some people will come...I'll drop by. Just pick a place. Since you're in Burbank...I've heard the Burbank Bar & Grill has a great patio. Now if you could arrange for Stevie to sing that would really help!

Days in Long Beach, nights behind the Orange Curtain (but, then hey, my town's baseball team seems to want to call themselves "Los Angeles" for some God-awful reason).

I don't want to start a new thread just for this so I'll stick it here.

I was in a market last night and there was music playing...it was Landslide. I thought it was Stevie Nicks doing a new version. I got the radio station as 98.7 The Star here in LA. When I turned on the station in the car I realized it was not Stevie Nicks at all, but what sounded like a country singer with an orchestra. Anyone ever heard this recording?

Not sure about the orchestra part, but are you thinking of the Dixie Chicks version?

It could have been the Dixie Chicks. I'm not real familiar with them...except for that "60 Minutes" piece a few years ago. It sounded like more than one person singing. Unfortunately, the DJ cut to a commercial when the song ended and didn't give their names.

Rosenbloom died in a mysterious drowning accident. Puzzling because he was an avid swimmer. Reports were that a "witness" observed scuba bubbles near by shortly after Rosenbloom went in the water.

You're probably thinking of Kincaids. Haven't been in awhile. I developed an allergy to certain seafood about 5 years ago and it's too tempting to eat fish when I'm there.
