My husband heard on the radio this morning that she & Lance broke up over the holidays. I'm not trying to stir things up, but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything. I didn't see anything mentioned on Sheryl's message board. I hope it's just a rumor; they make such a cute couple.

The rumor I heard is that Lance broke it off right before the holidays, but his family (particularly his mom) love Sheryl and are upset about him breaking it off. They're urging him to reconsider. So they may be getting back together. Which is why it hasn't been made public.

Of course, I read this in a gossip column, so I don't know if there's any truth there is to that rumor. So take it with a grain of salt. And both camps, apparently, are denying that there's been a breakup.

Oh no! Hopefully it's just a rumour.

The only way to know if it is true or not is when either one of them annouce it....

But.....has anyone ever been over to Sheryl Crow's forum??? ....wow, what a bunch of die hard "I-know-sheryl-better-than-you-and-I-will-fight-to-the- death-for-her-honor" type people over there. I read the board every now and then just for the drama/humor factor.

It seems that is you say anything about Sheryl (that they do not like) they attack you, VICIOUSLY. These poor unknowing unsuspecting people try to join that forum and the regulars chew them up and spit them out. If anything is said that the moderator doesn't like he locks the thread, mocks you and sends his posse to attack you. It is waaaaay out of control. Although I think they are down to about 15-20 people who religiously post on that board. That is their clique and they want to keep it that way, so STAY AWAY!!! But please feel free to lurk, it is like watching Jerry Springer, every now and then some poor unknowing chap will dare to venture into their world....

On a bright note.....there is this one girl who posts there (Grace) who cracks me up. I think she is their token negative person who knows "how" to say thing which are very creative and very funny and somehow never gets banned.

I know what you mean. I've been to that forum and it IS like that! I don't visit it anymore because sometimes I feel compelled to criticize Sheryl or disagree with some yahoo and it just ain't worth the ass-chewing they dish out. Can you imagine if it was like that around here? ALL the threads would be locked and we'd all be banned!

Oh...WOW...I'm glad nothing like that happens on a Stevie Nicks board.

It would not be terribly surprising to find that the rumor is true .The only surprise to me is that they lasted this long.Oh well if she has more free time on her hands now maybe she can help La Nicks out of her rut and get her to start another album.

I do believe that this is a rumor. I've seen her on ET talking about her wedding & wedding dress. She's in In Style magazine & Allure talking about her upcoming wedding, etc. I'm glad everything's going OK; I'd hate to hear about another celebrity couple breaking up.

Lee,
I saw the same show. One dress they were talking about she said it looked like layers of meringue and she hasn't picked out THE dress yet.

Wonder if Stevie will be an attendent if Sheryl has a traditional wedding????

I wish them good luck. It is nice to see her and Lance finally getting married. Hope it works out for a nice, long, long time.

See the other thread - I already called "dibs" on him.

Seriously, though, it's a real shame about Lance and Sheryl. I wonder if he came out and told her he and Matthew McConaughey were an item? Well, those 2 did attend the Rose Bowl and seemed quite chummy. No Sheryl or Penelope in sight. Hmmm...

Armstrong speaks of Crow heartbreak

Cyclist Lance Armstrong is "torn" that his relationship with Sheryl Crow didn't work out, because she showed him a love he'd never experienced before.

The Tour De France star announced his engagement and romance with Crow was over at the weekend and mentioned the split briefly on his satellite radio show on Sunday night, which he closed with a favourite Crow song, Letter to God.

Acknowledging his troubled week, Armstrong said: "Obviously, this week was a rough week for us, but that doesn't change the fact that I think Sheryl is an unbelievable lady, one of the smartest, wisest, most gifted people I've ever met and a person that I can honestly say has shown me a love that I never knew.

"It's only fair that I say that and it's only fair that we play one of her songs tonight and not run from the situation. I'm torn that it didn't work out but that doesn't matter.

"Fans of mine are fans of hers and hopefully fans of hers are fans of mine. She's a great lady and it deserves to be that way. So this is my favourite song, which I think we've played before on the show, on her newest record. It's a song called Letter To God."

The pair got engaged in September 2004. The seven-time Tour De France champion, who famously overcame testicular cancer, has three children from a previous marriage, while Crow was set to wed for the first time.

I don't know the details, but I posted on the Sheryl thread on the Stevie board that Dale Dudley (local morning show DJ) saw Lance at a nightblub last weekend w/ "some hottie." If it's true, that didn't take long...and on Sheryl's official board, there seems to be a general consensus that Lance is a man-whore.

All rumours and speculation...I'm sure the truth will come out soon...

may be.

from what I've heard Sheryl is a pissy biotch that is very cynical and cold. My sources say Lance couldn't take her nasty attitude anymore.

I think it's interesting that she was there for him through the last Tour de France but when it was time for him to reciprocate and tour with her, the relationship fell apart.:( Plus the doping rumours have always bothered me.

Yeah, but you can't trust those rabid Crow fans on that official site. They would defend her to the death. Sheryl can do no wrong it's all Lance's fault, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah.
