Yes, I know no one cares, but I have to brag to someone other than my parents and friends. I haven't gotten any A's before in this program, and now I got two. Which is good, b/c now my gpa is past 3.0....:o I got a perfect score on one of my finals, a 95% on the other - well, on the paper part. On the filling out stupid forms part I got 85%. Which is actually better then I thought I would do on the forms. They are so filled with minutae that looks alike, and there are so many...it was...a "default divorce with one child" forms.
Okay, done bragging. For now.
Obnoxious, yes.

Obnoxious, yes.Congratulations, Amber. What courses did you score in?

I hope you're taking some seismology courses. I'd be very disappointed in you to learn that you weren't taking some seismology courses in college.

Congrats, Amber. I need to get my ass in college.Don't bother, Sara. Just pick up a copy of Jacques Barzun's "From Dawn to Decadence" (2000). That will pretty much cover your undergrad education.

For graduate work, you'll need to specialize.

Um..for the degree I want after this I will have to take some earth science, but no seismology specifically for me. I'll mostly keep that to personal research I guess.:)
I got an A in "Investigation, Discovery, and Trial Prep" and an A in "Family Law."

Thanks for the congrats, everyone.

Oh, and I should be finished with this degree by end of Fall 2006 semester. I was going slow, but now I want to go faster since I decided to get another degree after this one. *le sigh*.

On a different note, I just read an article about an astrology prediction that almost exactly predicted 9/11. Like, very specific. Here is the portion, it is asterisked info from a part of the main article, which link follows. The first portion (of the full article) is about Abramoff!

"*In the September 2000 edition of Nuntius, Zoller wrote, “I again draw attention to the increasing threat of Islamic terrorism and that it will be felt on the US mainland. The greatest period of danger is in September 2001. I am not looking at any other forms of terrorism though also anticipate others. I am looking at terrorism that is rooted in Islamic fundamentalism and directed at everyday citizens going about their daily business in our own cities. The destruction and loss of life will shock us all. I repeat my warning now for the third time that unless the US remains vigilante [sic] it will be caught unprepared and will be rocked to its very core. It will be an act of war but unlike any other in our history. Our culture and way of life and lives are at risk. For the third time I say this we have had our wake up call.” See this article for more details."

Be loud and pround about your A's, that's awesome. Celebrate your A's! This is the type of occasion where I would invent a drink to commemorate the A's. HOLLA!

Yay-congratulations! :D
Two A's and a video Ipod - seems like a great way to start the New Year!

*I worked in a law office in Seattle, and the primary investigator we used was a woman who ran an all-female investigation firm. At the time I sort of envied her job.

What is the second degree you are planning on?

^^
I would so love to work for an investigator. It's a secret dream. :p
I'm looking into Environmental Studies emphasis on environmental sustainability and social justice. I was also thinking of getting a minor in Recreation with outdoor/natural resource emphasis. But that seems very ambitious right now, and I'm still messing around with all the details. Currently I'm in "figuring out possible plans" mode. I have a few boiling.

Congratulations, Amber... you're having a good week, babe! I hope it lasts all year for you.

Thanks, Stew. happy new year to you, too.

*I have the Mirage video in the process of loading on to my new ipod right now*:D
