Marty, Lis, Tommer, Richard B and everyone!!!
I just ate some "kosher latkes," and lit my candles. :)
Here's one of my favorite South Park melodies (you probably don't want to play it for your kids).

I still have my dreidel's (sp?) and Ive been teaching my son about other cultures. My mom still lights her Menorah, and we arent even Jewish.
Both my husbands were Jewish, although the first one was TRUE jew, whilst the second one wasnt. (ie: the first hubby's mom was jew, but not the second)
anyway, happy happy!!!

Jews do not distingush between true jews and not true Jews. Once a person converts to Judaism they are considered Jewish. Only goyim use the term "true jews".

I know you didn't mean anything bad by it, but for future reference, the term "True Jew" is kind of offensive, especially to those who chose Judaism. You could rephrase it as first hubby's "mother was Jewish" and for the second hubby, "he converted to Judaism" or "chose Judaism."
Sort of like when Messianic Jews (Jews for Jesus) call themselves "completed Jews". That term doesn't go over real well in the Jewish community.
HAPPY HANUKKAH.......
