I've been looking for this for a while now. It's Sheryl's first record produced by Hugh Padgham that ended up being scrapped. I'm only on track four, so I don't know what to make of it yet but I will say it's quite a contrast to her style now.

The copy I have has some live tracks from Tuesday Night Music Club at the end. Trust me when I say those extra three tracks are needed after listening to 12 of those horrific pop songs.
I do like a couple of the songs a little bit, but it's obvious why she hated it so much.

It's really dated and sounds like an 80's movie soundtrack. Some of the tracks had some potential with a different arrangement but this is no breakout album. Sheryl has come a long way baby.

Is one of the songs that one that Tina Turner covered on her Wildest Dreams album? I didn't even realize this was circulating...I kind of want to hear it, but I kind of don't.

I wonder why she made that album in the first place. It sounds like she didn't know what she wanted so she let that guy lead the way TOTALLY. It's like, don't you have a vision for your own album, especially the first one that is so crucial to making or breaking you in the music business? Yes, it's GREAT that she scrapped that album and make TNMC (which is f'ing good), but what was she thinking with that first album?!?!?
