It's been interesting watching Stevie compete with the dance divas. Dreams was stalled at #5 for four consecutive weeks before finally moving up to #4 on this week's chart. Madonna (Hung Up), Mariah Carey (Don't Forget About Us) and Deborah Cox (House Is Not A Home) currently have a lock on the Top 3.

I don't think Dreams will get to #1 because Mariah Carey has been steamrolling the competition with all the awards and nominations she's been getting lately. I think it will be a #2 finish for Dreams, eventually.

It's been great getting to hear Stevie on the radio. I listen to 92.7 here in San Francisco and I was thrilled when they began playing Dreams.

They still don't play her on the two classical stations (one public, one commercial) in Los Angeles, but I think it's cool that the Stevie Nicks persona gets on the charts nowadays (although all these dance tracks & remixes have absolutely nothing to do with the original Mac spirit).

Which is why it is Stevie Nicks...solo. With all new vocals...

It's kind of peculiar that the song wasn't serviced to the clubs. All of the other singles from Deep Dish's GEORGE IS ON have had remixes.

It's great, and it deserves it, dance tracks usually bore me, but this is particularly dynamic and well crafted. I like it a lot.
