Hola!
Has one heard of the music flatrate by Napster yet? I saw a commercial and thought I might try it. It costs 10 euros (at least here in Germany).
http://www.napster.com/
Pro:
- as much music downloads as you want
- listen to them as much as you want
- 192kBit/s WMA
- you can put your songs on your mp3 player (no iPods)*
- all of Fleetwood Mac albums + a lot of older stuff
Contra:
- no CD burning of the songs (you have to buy the linscence for it first)
- liscence to the song ends when you unsign the contract (the songs are still there, but you can't listen to them anymore)
- you can't put the songs on your iPod*
- a lot of artists aren't reatured at all (mostly bootleg supporting artists like Genesis, Pink Floyd and it also doesn't have one single Kate Bush song, I hope they will be added soon)
* The normal version for 10 euros doesn't have this option, you need to get "Napster-to-go" for 15 euros to put songs on mp3 players. Apple doesn't support this system, because it is a huge concurence to iTunes!
This thing is 100% legal and you can downlaod and listen to the music as much as you want. It also have great playlists and the downloads are pretty fast too!
Result:
If you sit on your computer a lot and listen to music there and want to check out new music or hear a CD before buying it (legal), this is probably one of the best inventions in a long time, but if you are out a lot in cars and want to burn stuff instead of listening to them on the PC, then this is probably the most useless **** for you ever (thx god Ib belong to the first group of people).
I would recommend to test it for the first 7 days (free)! after those days, you can't listen to the music anymore, but you tried!
David
