Hey...... um......

Will somebody buy this for me?

I've always wondered how Stevie's personal things get passed on and end up on ebay or just floating around out there for sale. I know she donates certain things for auction and I know Destiny Galleria is a legitimate source but I often wonder like this necklace for example - how did it end up in the place? Did she give it to a friend after a fight with LB? Why would she get rid of something given to her as a gift? I've always wondered about this. I mean clothes are understandable - I'm sure she has thousands of outfits and hasn't kept them all over the years but how do these things get out there and start circulating? Does she give them to friends who then sell them? Any ideas?

I hope that they either stole this from her or this is fake. I'd hate to think she would give away personal things like that. I would never get rid of things like that, no matter what happened. :distress:

Maybe I should buy it and send it back to her. :p

Actually, I'm pretty sure she has about three outfits, and has kept them over the years...

"Calling Gloriaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" I just heard that on the radio :D .

Anyway, I wonder when the mysterious L.B. gave her this necklace. It doesn't look like a "modern" piece of jewelry and the engraving on the back looks like it was scrawled by a child .
Also, "Stephanie?" interesting....

Actually she only has three that she has performed in in the last 10 years and she'll never sell those. And lord knows that is truly a shame because I'm sure her SYW outfit would have sold for thousands ;).

That is such a coincidence; I heard that song this morning, too. When I played it from my itunes.

I would label it a fake if not for the fact of who is selling it, and they have a track record of selling legit items. It does look like it could have been made in the late 60's to mid-70's--it's very much in that time period. But why would she part with something if he gave it to her? I mean, I have every piece of jewelry every boyfriend has ever given me. I've never hated a man enough to give back (or give away or sell) the jewelry he gave me! I'd love to know the story behind this piece. I saw it the other day and I've been wondering about it too. Nice to see some Ledgie's taking a few guesses of how and why it ended up on Ebay!

I bet she owned the necklace at one point, but that engraving was added much much later. She (or any other woman for that matter) would never give this away/sell it if he had engraved it and given it to her. Especially since they're secretly married or whatever it is some of you claim to know.

I'm going to have to disagree with the people who think that just because Lindsey gave Stevie something, she would "never" part with it.

Ever seen Waiting to Exhale? The brilliant way in which Angela Bassett got rid of her husband's belongings, his car especially? :D I'm sure it has to be very liberating and I totally understand women who behave like that when they're hurt. Stevie though seems very attached to her things, looking at her houses or wardrobe. I'm not sure everyone in her groups of friends or in the population who got in touch with her baggages felt the same instinct of protection.

If Stevie did own it, I can see someone wanting to buy it. But, IMO , that inscription looks fake as hell. The whole necklace looks like it was never cleaned, but the inscription is clean? That seller must need cash for Christmas
or Hannukah!

That makes a certain amount of sense. Don't know if Destiny Galleria would go down that route though ... they're usually pretty sound.

The Stephanie thing puzzles me though ... I don't think Stevie would give away something like this. Unless it went through the Silver Springs Emporium, though that would have been mentioned on the listing, presumably? Curious.

I thought the same thing when i first saw this item. It would surprise me if Stevie were to give away jewelry Lindsey gave her in the early days.Exactly, and for what purpose? Surely someone else wouldn't have much use for it, with that kind of inscription. The only people who would want this, are fans, and I can't see Stevie saying, sure, put this piece of crap on Ebay, see what the fool pays for it. No way.

I'm jumping on the 'it's her necklace but the inscription is fake' bandwagon. I can't explain it otherwise.

The inscription is probably Bull****. Lots of her family members call her Stephanie though so that sounds legit...the whole thing just gives me the creeps.

As far as how her **** ends up here....two guesses. :o

I think maybe she gives a lot of things out in order to raise money for various charities, especially the Arizona Heart Institute and City of Hope; her favorites. I'm not really clear on exactly how much she raises for charity but I suspect it's a lot - she and her Dad, for example, together raised 15 million dollars for the Research Building for the Arizona Heart Institute (that was after investments increased it to that amount, over the years). Somebody posted awhile back that she had bought a two-unit house for Katrina refugees and posted a picture of it - not sure if that was for real or not. But anyway, I think she gives all this stuff out in order to raise money for her "pet" charities.

Hmm. I'm not buying this at all. The necklace looks like a cheap piece of tin, and the "engraving" looks like someone scratched it on with a pen knife. That's not "engraving." I forgot to look at the end price - was it $200? Poor fool who bought it.

Yeah, because if it was after that he would have had a bunch of money and probably would have bought her something more expensive, if anything. That totally looks like an "I'm poor but I'll get my girlfriend this 'cool' silver necklace" gift that people give each other. :)

a) that was an ugly P.O.S.

b) that ugly P.O.S. cost someone a small fortune.

c) LB can be anybody. maybe it was my unstable ex-friend Luke Brewers who went to a few Dance shows and threw jewelry at the stage? maybe some other random crackhead? maybe it wasn't hers at all? maybe it was one of the other 10 million stephanie's who got some ugly P.O.S. from LB?

d) show me the picture of my favorite LB wrapping it around my favorite Stephanie's neck and maybe i'd bite (my knuckles just thinking about him wrapping it around her neck)... right before i got grossed out by it's ugly P.O.S.iness.

e) i love amber.
