1st let me thank you for posting this. Second, is it the whole thing? I have tried to dld it several times, likely causing premature bandwidth expiration, and all I get is between 20-49 seconds. Installed the YSI link for "broken" files and that is making no difference. =0( Thought hmmm, maybe it's not the whole thing. Donka.

It was 1976.It may even have been late 1975 when this show was taped. The 9 April 1976 date is a broadcast date, I assume.

Helen Reddy's pronunciation of "debuted" seems a trivial point to me, especially given what she says & how it somewhat confuses the time frame. She says: "A few weeks ago, Fleetwood Mac debuted their new album & introduced a song called Rhiannon, which is now the latest hit for one of the class groups of all time." At first you assume that she means that the white album had just been released "a few weeks ago," but we know that's not accurate -- that would put the recording of the show back in July or August of '75. So I guess what she means is that the song Rhiannon had just been released as a single (it was released in January 1976). That would mean that Fleetwood Mac recorded their Midnight Special show in January or February 1976 -- immediately before heading north to San Francisco to start tracking Rumours.

And I believe those are the four songs (Rhiannon, World Turning, Why, Over My Head) that incarnation played live on Midnight Special, although the show broadcast the first fifteen minutes or so of the Rosebud promo film.
