I'll give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my love to you

The other ones just make me feel too dirty.

I can't vote until you include Boston in this poll. Not that I would necessarily vote for them, but they sure belong on this list.
This is one of my favorite so far, because it makes me laugh at my cheesiness.

AMEN

This is all I am saying - childhood memories and fond ones of riding my bike with my walkman!!!!!

Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhere

A singer in a smokey room [I always thought that referred to me]
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill,
everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice,
just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlight people

Sighes!

Also - REO is awesome as are the others.

I picked Journey as well, although REO would have been a close second....

I always thought that line said "I seen her in a smokey room" although that is poor grammar..but eh  Learn something new everyday!

My favorite Journey, though is Separate Ways.

Supertramp. I <3 them!

Yeah, "Logical Song" and "Goodbye Stranger" alone lay those other bands to waste. I'll never forget how they used "Goodbye Stranger" on Nip/Tuck. Brilliant, I tell you.

I couldn't help but sing along with your post! I've always loved Journey, always always always. Steve Perry was the hottest guy with a huge nose, mullet & tightass jeans back in the day (of course, back in the day for me was when I was 11 in '86 & Raised on Radio came out :o .) His voice is amazing. Too bad he seems to be such a dick.

My memory is for Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'. My parents used to own a bar & of course, Journey's Greatest Hits was on the jukebox. (so was Mac's, as a side note. Oh, and Timespace. But I digress.)

I played it a lot. This one old curmudgeon (yeah, sp, whatever) Charlie was there every day with his wife, he looked like the Gorton's fisherman. He acted grumpy, but was actually really nice. Every time I'd play the tune, he'd bitch "what the f*ck do you want to hear that na-na-na-na-na sh*t again for?"

Oddly, I LOATHE Wheel in the Sky and Lights.

ashamed to admit it, but it's the speedwagon for me. I'm glad i don't even know what they look like but I still play a best of tape from them in my car. With The Baby's on side b it's one hell of a tape to blast along with. By the way: where are the baby's in this list? they would have had my vote in an instant.
