"All you need is love...
All you need is love...
Love is all you need..."
25 years sure has gone by very quickly, And John is still missed!

a sad date for us music fans, be it us classic rock fans or metal fans, December 8th is a date that will live on as a tragic/senseless one.

Who is he?
formerly of the great Texas metal band Pantera, was touring with his (And his older brother Vinnie Paul's) new band Damageplan (After the demise of Pantera) when an asshole jumped a security fence, Made it into the venue, proceeded to make it onto the stage and shot Dimebag 4 times in the head in front of a packed house...Then he proceeded to kill 3 others in attendance, including the band's Security guard, a tech. member of the venue and a fan who jumped on stage to try to assist Dimebag.
Thankfully an officer entered the venue and took the murdering asshole out with a saw-offed shotgun blast to the head because there would have been more deaths otherwise.
Very sick ending to a true talent!

I can't believe it's been 25 years. It doesn't seem that that long ago...
John...you are forever missed, but never forgotten.
Who lived there
He must have been a gardener that cared a lot
Who weeded out the tears and grew a good crop
Now we pray for rain, and with every drop that falls
We hear, we hear your name
Johnny can't you come out to play in your empty garden
"Empty Garden" - Elton John

My best friend(Who is the biggest Beatles fan I have ever known, and John is her idol.) and I got together to remember John last night. We watched Imagine and Live in New York City. We lit candles and incense. We talked about John's life, and how important John was and is to this world. God only knows how much better this world would be right now, if John were still here. Rest in Peace, John. You'll never be forgotten. Here is one of the (if not THE) best song ever written.
