That is the most incredible christmas light display I have ever seen. And I want to do it at my house...

Sigh.

But uh. Anyone know what song that is?

Sounds like the Trans Siberian Orchestra to me.

That's awesome. It must have taken forever to set it up. I think if I were their neighbor all those lights flashing would drive me crazy really quickly.

Man, I had to stop watching about halfway through. I was afraid I'd have a seizure.

So, for the much more electronically-challenged among us (uh, me), can anyone explain how this would be done? I was watching it going, this can't be real. It must be a video made on computer. Is it?

the neighbor to the 2,000,000+ lights at Chickasha's reknown "Festival of Lights" (Which we did our yearly visit to last night.)

Traffic out the yin-yang (Since it is the largest display in the state) and loudly played Christmas music on the PA, Horse drawn carriages but still a great attraction, You can check it out at the following link:

Theres a place around here called the Lynn-Fells Parkway, and its a yearly tradition for every single huge house on it to lose their **** decorating. And even on the roads that go off it, you have like all of the tackiest crap you can imagine. Its grand.

I live right by this gorgeous light display, it's called Hartwood Acres and it's based around an old mansion that sits on the grounds. It can get annoying, but it's only once a year and nothing is better for the holiday spirit.

Being the loser I am, I found all this stuff about the display...

http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/xmaslights.asp

"Origins: A video clip (viewable here or here) shows home Christmas lights synchronized to flash in time to a musical score, in this case Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Wizard in Winter" (from The Lost Christmas Eve album).

This display was the work of Carson Williams of Mason, Ohio, who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that control the 16,000 Christmas lights in his 2004 holiday lighting spectacular. The musical accompaniment is broadcast over a low-power radio station so that it is only audible to visitors tuned in to the correct frquency and doesn't disturb the neighbors.

The rough quality of the video has led some viewers to believe it was put together in stop-action form from still photographs, but that is an artifact of the high compression used in the clip circulated via e-mail. Mr. Williams has posted instructions for recreating his "Wizard in Winter" sequencing, and another of his choreographed Christmas light music shows can be viewed here.
