Some friends of mine saw Lindsey at the Paul McCartney concert on Tuesday
(11/29) night in LA. He was seated approx. Row 7 and was there with John Cusak! (Are they friends, or did they just end up together as "VIP's" I wonder? They were talking to each other.) They said Lidsey was really into it and was on his feet most of the show. John Cusak apparently went nuts when "Get Back" was played...jumping and pumping his fist in the air. That darn McCartney even drives the other celebs wild (I'm a big fan :) )!

interesting -

i had a John Cusack sighting once -
he was sitting behind me in a movie theater - and was with Sheryl Crow!
it was Sofia Coppola's first film.

i don't think it was a date - they went their separate ways right after the film
and he didn't walk her to her car - which was parked on a dark street in santa monica....

Wow, I wouldn't mind being on a date with Lindsey and John Cusack.
Sit me right inbetween and I'd happily sit through a Paul McCartney concert!

Lindsey is very much a McCartney fan! If you look at pictures of his mixing table during Out Of the Cradle, he has a picture of Paul McCartney on it. I definitely think that if you listen to Go Insane, you will hear a big McCartney II album influence, so I'm not surprised to hear that he was at the L.A. Show. Too bad he wasn't at the Atlanta, McCartney show with me!

Coolness. Macca's concerts are awesome!! Good taste, as I happen to love his new album quite a lot. :]

Despite my respect for his personal time, I think I would have had to. I think if I just got that moment overwith, it would be better. Otherwise, I probably couldn't resist staring at him which is probably worse.

The album is great, isn't it? Something new for Paul. Cool to see him still trying new sounds.

Really. I have never been a big fan of his solo music. I don't think there is one album of his I could listen to all the way through without skipping. I do love "RAM" and "Flaming Pie" a lot, but this one I can play all the way through...it's very excellent for him. I'm quite proud. I love me some good Macca music.

That man's face is 50% forehead! (...and I am just fine with that! :D)

His eyes are the most stunning color...and I see he's branching out wardrobe-wise and trying grey . Seriously, though, the grey looks super hot!

Those pics from WireImage are incredible! Lindsey definitely needs to wear grey more. It really does bring out his eyes.

Didn't Lindsey say sometime after Tango in an interview that he was still trying to write songs as good as Paul and John Lennon could write in their early twenties? I wonder if he ever thought he did?

I read that. And I think he has, over and over.

I think Lindsey is more preferable to John solo, as I noticed he picked John solo music in his "top albums/songs of all time" thingie on a Lindsey site.

Can't blame him, though. :)

Was it in the Performing Songwriter mag last year that he mentioned John's Plastic Ono Band album as a fave of all-time? Lindsey certainly has his own "primal scream" abilities. I wonder if he has looked to that album over the years as an inspiration to cut loose emotionally through vocals like John did.

Can't blame him, though. :)

I'm with ya!

Yes, well, I do too! But does _he_ think he reached that standard...?
