Maybe he needs to be living in the shadow of his sister...that can't be easy for anyone.

My mom's on Klonopin and she doesn't act all lethargic and "drugged up."
Stevie gave Klonopin a bad name. Personally, I think she blamed the drug for her ****ty performances......she probably misused it anyhow....not using it as perscribed....she probably popped that pill like she was snorting coke.

She definitely gave Klonopin a bad name. It can be useful for people under certain circumstances and taken in moderation for a limited amount of time. She was up to something like 8 pills a day for 8 years. That much of a prescription drug can never be a good thing. Bottom line is that could have happened if she was prescribed valium or vicotin so she can’t solely blame the Kloniopin. However in her defense I will say that it is highly addictive and people need to be very aware of the dangers when they begin taking it or any other habit forming medication for that matter. Her heart is in the right place when she discourages people from taking it but that's not to say it hasn't helped and will continue to help a lot of people.

I took Klonopin for a couple of months for insomnia. I slept for the first time in probably 15 years. I didn't act all weird or anything, but I noticed that I was becoming dependent upon it, so we switched to Restoril. I did that for about 6 months and now I'm happy to say I'm relatively insomnia-free (without any drugs). All that being said, prescription drugs are what started my husband on his path of drug addiction. Every person is different, and I honestly think it you have the propensity towards addiction, any drug can f*ck you up.

My husband was taking 30-40 vicodin a day. Can you imagine?

And he was able to stand up? I can't even imagine what the withdrawl must have been like from that. I hope he is ok now.

He ended up on heroin and methadone. His detox was awful. He spent 3 weeks detoxing in a hospital, then 5 months in an inpatient facility in Atlanta. He is doing WONDERFULLY now, but it has been a hard road for all of us.

Wow, I cannot imagine what that must have been like to go through. It is amazing he recovered. I am so glad to hear he is well .

hmmm i think she (Stevie) blames anything and everyone for her choices and or mistakes in life...
eg:
Cocaine: "we never knew it was bad" oh come you were still high as a kite to the point that you fell off the stage in 86, how many family and friends would of tried to get her off it since 80 when she looked ill. She talks of how seeing robin and making the choice in the "sisters of the moon" song that she looked thin and pale and decided to "live on" (forgotten which song now thats from).
Klonopin: "the psychiatrist" oh come on, you took the pills, no one forced them into you. She would of learned in rehab and in follow up meetings what addictions are all about. She wasn't pushed into it, can you imagine stevie just sitting in front of a psychiatrist for 8 years just saying "whatever you say doctor" "i'll swallow lots of drugs for eight years only because you say so" Load of bloody crap.. :sorry:
Wont get into what she says about lindsey.
She's strong and stubborn and determined when it suits her, depending on the interview! She should take some responsibility for her own life, she's 57 years old now and needs to grow up a little too because the people who listen and follow her career and life notice the cracks..... (though those people also pay more attentioned to the cracks in her face
Dont be offended guys, dont we all get a little frustrated every now and then.....

My husband was hooked on vicodin too after neck surgery. Bad **** to kick. Klonopin is another story. If taken as prescribed it can help immensely. If taken like candy in an attempt to fix all emotional and mental problems one might have, it is a bad thing. Stevie likes to blame the klonopin but deep down she knows it was her own demons who made her swallow the pils. She just isnt willing to talk publically about all that. Like I said elsewhere, she only presents the image of the Stevie Nicks she wants us to see. Most people buy it too.

Stevie is a narcissist. She blames all her problems on everyone else. The biggest rant I have with her is how she blames Fleetwood Mac for not being able to have kids.
I do not and have never felt sorry for the woman one bit. You know Debbie Harry was DRUGGED out to for years. Debbie doesn't wimpy wine and cry in interviews blaming everyone else for her problems.

Yeah some of her banter is a bit hard to swallow. For example the part about believing that cocaine was harmless in the 1970s .I was a young teenager in the late 1970s and knew better than that .Alot of the fans who were around then also knew she was doing mounds of it.The woman at the head shop were I bought the tickets for her cancelled San Diego sports arena show on the White Winged Dove tour said it was cancelled due to her being 'too coked out'. I personally thought she was saving her voice for the El Lay shows and the HBO taping.

Did you hear what Debbie just told NME in an interview about cocaine? I laughed out loud when I read it. "It's very rare to get good cocaine these days."

LOL - this guy I know was all coked up on Monday night and had the horrible realization that it was cut with Exlax, which sent him racing to the bathroom with self propulsion  I have never laughed so hard on my life

Absolutely true. She is quite the princess. I'm surprised some of the people she fired during her addicted days haven't written books about her. I doubt she's quite the sweetheart we want to think she is.

Does it means Stevie lost again the 'coolest attitude towards cocaine from an ex drug addict award'? Oh well, it was fate.

amen. reason #1 i'm not looking forward to having the wisdom teeth out, i can never touch a narcotic drug again. ever. it would send me to the street corner. and for those of you who've met me, you probably wouldn't think that?
and as for the Brother Chris, great choice in the Stones. i would have paid stevie-dollars to see them, sadly that wasn't enough.

I don't think Stevie blames all her past problems on other people, but they sure didn't help the matter. No one thought Coke was as bad as it was. And it was a hell of alot purer back then and probably didn't take quite as long to do major damage as much as it does now. IMO. But the damn psycharist should have known that he/she was dealing with an addictive personality and shouldn't have given her ANYTHING. She was a regular person trying to get her life back, who trusted a certified doctor to help her with it.
All I can say is that thank God she is still here, cause she should be 6 feet under by any other accounts.
