Beautiful Child on America's Most Wanted

I just saw something really disturbing and had to share..
I was watching America's Most Wanted tonight and there was a story of a young mother on drugs who abused her 22-month-old son and left him for dead in the woods in Texas and is wanted along with her boyfriend for murder. Well during this story they showed home movies of the mother singing to her now deceased baby son and she was singing Beautiful Child :distress:! Very upsetting to see. I hope her and her boyfriend are apprehended ASAP.

i belong to america's most wanted site~ i just went & read this story & looked at pics of the poor child~ so sad!!!:distress: ~ giving birth & raising my son is #1 w/ me ...yes even over stevie & when i see how my love affects my son, like when he says you are the best mom in the world type stuff, i just can't fathom hurting a child at any cost~

Yes you are correct - the network was not playing the song, the mother was singing it on video footage. Not exactly how I'd like to hear Stevie on TV. The mother was young too so obviousy she was a fan if she knew Beautiful Child.

Well, I work in a jail so if I see her I'll make sure her life is a living hell.
Speaking of Beautiful Child on TV, I was just watching the OUT 100 Most Intruiging Gay People on LOGO and one of the guys honored was sitting in front of a piano and there was sheet music on it of a song called Beautiful Child. I couldn't tell if it was Stevie's or not. I wish I could find out.

I watched that story too, so heartbreaking. I thought the mother was singing Stevie's BC at first but really all she sang was "beautiful child, you are a beautiful child"' to her son...she might have known La Nick's song, she might not have. It was hard to tell from that bit of home movie is she was actually singing the song or just sort of calling her kid beautiful She only sang like four words "'you are a beautiful child"....and I think it was just a random coincidence. The story itself made me sick to my stomach. This little boy was so adorable and his mother just tossed him in the woods behind his house and took off with her boyfriend. What a piece of ****. Both sets of grandparents are devastated and heartbroken. Why the Hell didn't she just drop him off with one of them and take off? So senseless.

mhmm...and at the beginning of the story, she's singing other lines from it...and i thought she was kind-of ignoring her child while she was doing all this, too :(
