Diss, do you remember my crappy post about Franz Ferdinand and why they don't rock my boat?

Listen to the single of the Arctic Monkeys, I bet you look good on the dancefloor . That's a staccato punkrocksong that flows, and does not feel as a construction. They toured with FF, so maybe you saw them live..............

hmm..theyr'e interesting bunch aren't they Gerald.Nobody heard of them 6 months ago, they had never put out any music comercially available, but put out mp3s onto their website, spoke online to a few fans, got an online reputation, the fans bought this song (which is well....hmmm... crap.. in my opinion anyway), got a record deal from some company worth a couple million, and are now in New York supporting this Antony and the Johnsons person/group and voila....it sure does happen fast when it gets going! Oh...and the lead singer, has been voted by whoever as the sexiest lead singer around at the moment....oookkkkaaaayyyy.......they toured with FF you say?

thought so. I really like The Jam-like energy of their single.

Of course I do. Your comments in that post about The Killers were quite incomprehensible to me. Still are, actually.

Nope, TV On the Radio opened for them at the show I saw in October. Not bad, but nothing great. I've heard the Arctic Monkeys and didn't think much of them, but I'll give that song another spin. Just for you. :p

The Artic Monkeys are flavour of the day here in the UK. The singer Alex Turner just topped NME's annual cool list. They seem a strange choice to support Antony & The Johnsons though. Their music doesn't seem to fit together on the same bill to me. I guess it would be interesting though.

Yep... flavour of the DAY is about right, they could prove us all wrong, but I suspect looking good on the dance floor will be their one and only .....touring with A &the J's is probably contractual (gotta prove your'e worth that 2 million)..oh well...good luck to them

I can't find the right words for it, obviously. But maybe I need a flexible listener, too.
