I "enjoyed" Kenney's 1st 3 songs, and Gretchen rocked!!! Kenney is as queer as they come! Fraud annulment uh huh!

Faith is about as country as Metallica. Why do they label her country? The bitch hasn't been country since 1996. Boy Bekka is aging fast lol! Loved her Gwen Stefani hair though.

Anyway Faith is SO BORING, her performance is DARK and DEPRESSING. How much more can I describe a thumbs down hour. I guess some people like this shiit, I don't! BARF!

Agree on all counts! I know that almost no one here likes country. IF they think that Kenny, or Tim, or Faith, or Barf Brooks, is country, they have no idea of what country IS.

Faith Swill or Kenny Cheese-wad...Yet more examples of how looks in the music industry prevails over true talent.

Faith Swill or Kenny Cheese-wad...Yet more examples of how looks in the music industry prevails over true talent.Let me ask you this as a serious question to a coutry music fan. Who do you consider to be true talents? I'm not trying to be confrontational, I'm just curious as to what you think, coming from me as a casual fan of country.

of the current popular new country crop I consider talented is Keith Urban, Having sat 10 feet from him as he played guitar (Way back in 2001 before he hit it bigtime), sang and just had fun is more entertaining then watching someone sing with perfect vocals like a Faith Swill.

I consider a guitarist, songwriter, producer more talent than just "an attractive markable face" who can sing...Anyone can be taught to sing if provided with the proper tools, Learning to play the guitar, how to write memorable songs & learn the tricks in studio production is talent (And this goes for ALL types of music....Not just country.)

One of the reasons I do not listen to 99.9% of what is considered popular & mainstream is the talent factor....And why I never will, Not only is beauty is in the eye of the beholder but so is talent. (What you may consider talent is what I may not and vice-versa)

I keep hearing good things about Keith Urban, I may have to check him out eventually.

Although as far as country music goes, voice can be very important. And I don't mean a technically-perfect-but-lacking-in-any-personality-whatsoever voice, but something truly distinctive. That's part of why folks like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson and are legends. Yes, they're great songwriters as well, but they're almost known more for their voices. Johnny Cash's voice just stops you dead in your tracks, whether he's singing a song he wrote himself or an old standard or something Rick Rubin threw at him.

Regardless, "Anyone can be taught to sing?" That's just not remotely true. There are plenty of people out there who are tone deaf or don't have much range or just have bad voices. Watch some American Idol auditions; you could lock some of those people in a locked room with a vocal coach for a month, and they still wouldn't sound much better.

I refuse to ever watch (Or even acknowledge) American Idiotic Idol...Yet more dumbing down of America ("Why work the grind for a record deal when you can just add water and have an instant deal via American Idiotic Idol?")

Besides I was being sarcastic with my reply with that alot of newer musicians think they can sing, Where it sounds like they used the proper tools in the studio to enhance their rather bland/toneless vocals (Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has forever damaged my hearing...Man, I heard more tone deafness in the one show than in any other medium that is available.)

hmmmm...I don't know if she has had any "work" done, if that is what you mean. But her hair is now a dark brown with blond highlights...

hate kenny...didn't watch

I like Faith, like to make fun of her more tho. She is a gorgeous woman, but she is looking terribly old. There was so much filter on this special it was insane (but I ain't hatin'). I bet Faith had vocal rest for 2 weeks before this special cause she sounded fantastic. And I love Bekka, that woman has a VOICE. What was Faith thinking tho with those clothes...yuck. I love how she changed Cry...sounds much better now. I'm in love with Stealing Kisses and The Lucky One (which I think Bekka wrote).

oh, and to add my name to the list, Keith Urban is amazing

I cannot stand Chesney. When Faith sang on the 9-11 fundraising thingy a few years ago...I had tears. She sounded amazing. I'm not a fan, but that got to me....for many reasons, I'm sure, but I thought she did a great job on the song. I think I have it downloaded somewhere.

Listening to Susan Ashton's album Angels of Mercy....another lady with an amazing voice. This is one of my fave albums. :)

Just for the helluva it, I looked on the writing credits, and SURPRISE!!!!, not one Carrie penned song. That's enough for me, as Lindsey says.

of Carrie Underwood, Even though she was raised in Checotah which is only 26 miles from Muskogee.

It's funny but most expect me to like her because she is from Oklahoma and won American Idiotic Idol, 'Sorry...Homie dont play that'!!!

Bad enough she seemed to be on the local TV every 5 f**king seconds during Thanksgiving...Worse was seeing a large billboard of her on my trip back from Tulsa on I-44! I did enjoy the fact the local yokels whined when she was not able to debut at #1 due to Madonna's newest release.
