What song do I like the most or what song is her best? The song I like the most is Storms. I think her best all around song that everybody can get into is Dreams. Everybody knows it, it has kick ass words, and is the song I think most peeps identify with her, like Go Your Own Way for Lindsey. I'm jaded by Dreams coz I'm a hardcore fan but it really is a killer song.

[Rickypt]

Sleeping Angel

followed by Silver Springs

[Richard B]

I also like Dreams because it was the only #1 song that Fleetwood Mac ever had.

Bella Donna

Gypsy

Ooh My Love

Sleeping Angel

Planets of the Universe (uncut version)

[heyjupiter678]

For me, it's Landslide.

[Richard B]

What do you expect? The Tower is an Aries...they like to be heard and seen.

[sparky]

It's cleaner that way.

Dude you are a rock star.

[Richard B]

Dude you are a rock star.
Comments like that will get you everywhere.

[dissention]

I swear that I'm going to pull out a gun and force all of you people to choose just one. I'd be willing to bet my Blondie collection that some of you would choose a bullet over being forced to pick just one.

"The lyrics to Storms touch my very soul, but her vocal performance on Everybody Finds Out is just AWESOME! The unjustly named Queen of Rock stuck again! I can't choose!"

I can pick one. That's Alright. :wavey:

You are a rare breed, Curtis. Walk tall, be proud.

Stand Back bitchy queen.

Great choice. My cousin and I always sing this to each other when we take the train to or from LA/San Diego.

[SapphireSister]

Great choice. My cousin and I always sing this to each other when we take the train to or from LA/San Diego.

I love the song too  but definitely could never be my favorite with lyrics like "meet me down by the railway station...the train sings the same kind of blues".

[sparky]

Comments like that will get you everywhere.

This is the kind of thing I like to hear.

[dissention]

I love the song too  but definitely could never be my favorite with lyrics like "meet me down by the railway station...the train sings the same kind of blues".

Have you heard "The Nightmare"?

I think the lyrics to "That's Alright" kick. It's a simple little country ditty. Love it.

[Richard B]

Have you heard "The Nightmare"?
Leave it alone and remember this is not the world, not the world, not the real world.

[dissention]

Leave it alone and remember this is not the world, not the world, not the real world.

True, that. In the real world, homegirl would have been told to edit.

[Richard B]

There is no "edit" in a nightmare, damn it.

[The Tower]

Fukc you, ya twat!!! :p

I can pick one. That's Alright. :wavey:
Mmmm..... It's in my top ten, that's for sure. You can't beat that vocal. She's at the top of her form. And the lyrics are to die for.

[TheBlueLamp]

Definitely Rock A Little (Go Ahead Lily) (Extended Version).

[skcin]

Best song solo: Edge of 17

Best song w/ Mac: Storms

[chiliD]

I also like Dreams because it was the only #1 song that Fleetwood Mac ever had.

Wrong. "Albatross" was #1 on two separate occasions.

[Richard B]

Wrong. "Albatross" was #1 on two separate occasions.
I know. No one cares about the UK. Having a #1 in the US compared to the UK is such a HUGE difference in actual sales. There is no other market bigger than the US.

But I was joking on that post anyway...mocking Stevie saying that about Dreams all the time.

[chiliD]

No one cares about the UK.

There's over 60 million people who'd more than likely vehemently disagree with you on that.

[GypsySongbird]

STAND BACK -live!!!! & i cant wait!!!!

rock a little, storms, beautiful child, no spoken word, rhiannon, gypsy, sara, the chain(lyrics) etc etc etc........ why am i even attempting to answer this!!!??!! it would take hours!

[Richard B]

There's over 60 million people who'd more than likely vehemently disagree with you on that.
It's much harder to argue with a population around 295,734,134.

Be realistic, even UK (and other countries) artists know they hit it real big when they hit #1 in the US.

[equeen102289]

Solo: Edge of Seventeen
With FM: Sara

[DavidMn]

SOLO: TIE, Kind Of Woman, Battle Of The Dragon, Desert Angel.

FLEETWOOD MAC: GYPSY.

[snowman]

What do you think is Stevie's Best song????????????

Silver Springs.

[Phoenix]

What do you think is Stevie's Best song????????????

Beautiful Child (Live)

[Sahara]

Don't make me choose!

But if I must choose, STAND BACK without a trace of doubt. Especially on Live in Boston and the Tango DVD. Best song ever, in fact.

But virtually everything she ever did comes a close second. Except Leather and Lace.

[totallycait]

Battle Of The Dragon.

Always loved it, then I got older and really understood how literally this song is about Robin & her cancer, and learning to live without her. It's been my favorite Stevie song for years and will be hard to beat.

[TellMeSweetLies]

Edge Of Seventeen

[Brwn_eyes0511]

Storms (Especially...Tusk 2nd Disc Demo...)

[gold_dustgypsy]

EO17 is just one of those songs that everyone loves... its a classic! Does anyone not like this song!??

[Miss Vicky]

"Planets of the Universe" (demo version)

It's so heartwrenching. :(

Have been known to leave it on repeat for hours at a time.

The TISL version on the other hand....

[ryan8472]

For me it's a tie between Silver Springs, Dreams and Outside the Rain.

[THINKABOUTIT]

Think About It...for its melody AND lyrics...;) Marisa

[David]

EO17 is just one of those songs that everyone loves... its a classic! Does anyone not like this song!?? :confused:In his review of "Bella Donna" for the L.A. Times, Robert Hilburn said "Edge of Seventeen" was (I think) "ponderous" -- in relation to the ballads that work well, like "Think About It" & "After the Glitter Fades."

Somebody post Hilburn's review of "Bella Donna"!

[Moony]

Sleeping Angel, without question.

[sparky]

Sleeping Angel, without question.

Moony ! Where have you been ?

[cliffdweller]

Greta

Oh, you :p.

If I could only listen to ONE song of hers for the rest of my life then I would have to pick the one I never tire of (drum roll).....Edge of 17. Yes, yes, we all know it well, maybe TOO well, but that opening guitar hook gets me everytime, it revs me up! Love it. Oh, and the live version where she inserts "I said yeah, yeah" after the "ooh, baby, ooh's" is f*cking fierce.

[Travis]

For many reasons Twisted.

But, there are so many I love. But, that is the one right now and for a long time.

Wow, this is my first time in this thread and the first answer is "Twisted." I love this song too, probably my favorite of all her songs. For me it was the start of Stevie coming back into her own again. And like you said, I love it for many reasons also, too personal to share.

Travis

[Travis]

to name a few ....

Twisted (personal fave)

Stand Back (the song that really introduced me to Stevie)

Destiny Rules (how could this not be on anyone's top ten list?)

Gypsy (beautiful)

Alice (love the soft velvety sound of Stevie's voice and I love that Stevie is singing to her grandma, telling her it's ok to go "I'm going back ..... Alice, Aliiiiiiice"

Everybody Finds Out (great rock song)

Goodbye Baby (it doesn't get any better than this)

Travis

[maygirl]

Sara.....Silver Spring.....Gypsy..........Stevie is an incredible songwriter!!!!!! Thats one of the many reasons that she has so many great fans after 30++++++ years.
