My boyfriend proposed to me last night!!! I'm so excited I can't believe it actually happened. We have been talking about it and looking at rings for several months. I can't wait to get a picture of the ring so I can post it. :p He did a great job and we will probably get married Spring of 07!!!

Thanks everybody!! We're really happy and have been wanting this since...well, since we met!
Yay, congratulations. Was he creative in his proposal or traditional? Let's hear the story.
 Oh this was a good one. LOL!! He didn't even mean to propose, really. It wasn't romantic, creative or traditional! We were eating some taco bell late last night and looking through some jewelry magazine. I pointed out the ring that I liked the most. He pointed to a different one and asked what I thought of it. My response was something like " nah. well, that ones ok but I REALLY like this one. If I had my choice I would get this one (pointing to the first one)" Well the color pretty much drained from his face and under his breath I hear...."oh ****". So he totally gave it away. Then I just started laughing and and saying "your f*cking with me, right?" (romantic isn't it? ) So then he did actually ask me. His plan was to give it to me on Christmas morning (I'm a big christmas person) in a big box with the little one insude. But it didn't happen that way!! Oh well. It doesn't really matter, I think it was pretty funny actually.

Best Best Best wishes!!!!
Getting engaged is SO SO exciting-and the ring doesn't really
matter all that much...he picked it out for you and thought you would like it, his heart was in the right place ---that is all that matters:)
But Taco Bell??
My husband proposed to me in a mexican restaraunt (honestly!),!!!
but we had a real table, silverware, a waitress and all the fixins <smile>
and I must mention the tequilla-cuz .....
I just looked at him like...WHAT???
No ring at that moment...just the question, I will never forget it!! I was so excited just wanted to scream:blob1: :blob1: :blob1: :blob1:
Of course I said yes and 16 blissful years later....here I am (and I have a beautiful ring complimented by another beautiful 15 year (past-present-future), 3 stone diamond ring that I just LOVE...
So all the best to you, sweet girl!
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am one on the llucky ones..and I know it, may you be so blessed:nod:

Doesn't really matter what the ring looks like. You love it because he chose it for you. What matters the most will be the memories you have made together. Enjoy the engagement and planning the wedding. Best weddings are the small, family ones that don't cost an arm or a leg and money is best spent for a romantic honeymoon or that first home. Just remember to hire someone to take a few gorgeous wedding photos.
Remember to have fun together and never forget to act like kids sometimes:woohoo: :blob1:
Always put each other first and treat each other with respect.
From someone that has been married for over 26 years:)

Thank You! A small wedding would be hard considering the size of our families. I know what you mean though. Less money and less stress. I would LOVE to go to one of those all inclusive resorts in Jamacia for the honeymoon. I'm not so sure if that's going to be possible though! We have time though, so you never know...
