Describtion from Amazon.co.uk:
"An album by Enya has always been an event, rather than just another record release. Yet seldom has any new album been as keenly anticipated as Amarantine.
In the five years since Enya’s last album, A Day Without Rain, which also spent a phenomenal two years on the billboard chart, Enya has been recording the brand new album in Ireland with her longstanding partnership of producer/arranger Nicky Ryan and lyricist Roma Ryan. The result is Enya’s most rounded and fully realised work to date."

For those who are interested, can get a "small preview" here (http://thepiratebay.org/details.php?id=3408345)!

I know! There was a huge promo campaign back in the days when A Day Without Rain was released (I mean the real promo, not after 9/11). but I found this over a Clannad fan site and now they are starting slowly to promote it! I'm halfway through it and I actually hear what I like! This sounds actually different to A Day Without Rain, altough a lot a string-instruments are used again!
And Michelle, never forget:
AIIII AIJJJU AJAJAJAAAAAAAAAAA!! :]

my fave CD from her is (drum rollllllllllllllll): the Celts. that is all.

I LOVE Enya!! I have all her CDs, so I'm excited for a new one! :)

[GarboSpeaks!]

WOW! I had no idea. Whatever happened to her sister? She too is an amazing vocalist. Soemtimes if you listen to her (I wanna say like E Brenna or something....brain fart) you ask yourself why isn't she is equally huge. But that's just my opinion. I have notices that Enya has been on the radio a lot and they are using one of her songs for a new Estee Lauder perfume.....is that the bulk of her marketing for the new album? LMAO. Can't wait to hear it. Got Maddie's today but have yet to listen to it. Winter's gonna be great!

[estranged4life]

Enya, or Enigma?? *LOL* j/j ;)

I have discs by both Enya & Enigma laying around here somewhere...Every once in awhile I will toss 'em on along with the discs by the Fireman and my "Trance" mixes of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" & "The Divison Bell" discs.

Maire Brennan and Clannad -- i'm 99.9% certain she's singing in the song from the Ireland Commerical (http://s58.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0XBDAMTT1RTYQ182GZ266VV5W2) (we used to play it at work so I found a copy of the song). I love Enya so thanks for posting!

Yes, you're right! This is a song called Saltwater by Chicane and it features Maire on vocals! It is basicly a techno version of "Theme From Harry's Game" from the magical Ring album, but I love this version anyways!
I think Maire is touring through Europe at the moment under the name "Moya Brennan" without Clannad (what a shame) and I have read a few arrticles about her and in none of them it was mentioned that she is Enya's sister, just that her music sounds like hers!

David had asked me about Enya one time, and I spent an hour trying to find a song that I THOUGHT was Enya, but ended up being Enigma *L* I don't listen to either one of them :)

Here's a fun thing to add to this thread. WHats everybody's favorite Enya song? I have 3, Carribean Blue, Boadecia, and Only If.

I think so, maybe not in near future, but in 2 yeas probably! It s very hard for a band like Clannad to break up, because it's a family! But I don't really like hat much of the stuff they released after 1985! The only 2 albums I like are Cran Ull and Magical Ring!
I really love their first album covers of Clannad I and Clannad II, they are so retro:

My favortie songs are: I Want Tomorrow, The Sun In The Stream, Orinoco Flow, Anywhere Is and Flora's Secret!

Now that I listened to the album I must say that it is actually a good album, BUT it is missing more dynamic, "up-tempo" songs like for example Wild Child and Flora's Secret, just 12 numbers in the style of songy like On My Way Home, Storms In Africa and Shepherd Moons! Sometimes you can really think that they sampled it, but I like it anyways, because it's Enya! lol :o
