Sorry, I posted it in a hurry, I just added the info. It is from that same '75 video, Cap Center MD. I am mining the two Videos I have that I don't have on DVD and that are not currently in the torrent list on Thrown Down. it is how I am testing this software that captures from my screen.
I like it!

Of course not. Unless you are live in a world where Stevie and chiffon are the only things that matter...which I have to say is a world where most Stevie fans live! But other than that...NO! :)

Next week, maybe I will post "World Turning' because she is standing up for that one, and facing the camera. Check out Christine playing some mean maracas in the "Oh Well" video I posted a few days ago.

Lucky :woohoo: - see I never really collected before, and I haven't bought any of these DVD boots or anything yet. The torrents and mp3 downloads are the first Mac media I have had since I bought songbooks and records back in the 70's and 80's. So, in a way, I am posting for people like me, who haven't seen as much of this stuff.

If you have any videos without the "For Screening Only" at the bottom...that would be awesome...those are GREAT for making animations!!!

Oh, hell yes. She can play the hell out of the piano. I've always loved GLYUTB (how weird does that look as an acronym?). I'm just afraid she's going to rock out a little too hard and blow the mic out of it's stand. But again, with the hair... *shakes head*
Behind your ears, Chris, please.

I love the cut to Lindsey! He looks like he's enjoying himself :woohoo: , as usual. Perhaps a bit too much... Maybe that's why it was for screening only?

This is pretty great. Is this song on the Christine Perfect album? It's a shame she didn't do more of this type of blues stuff. I love piano playing blues women. :D

No, it's not from Christine Perfect...

Does anyone know where this song is from? Or was it just a random live song...or am I crazy? lol

Does anyone know where this song is from? Or was it just a random live song...or am I crazy? lolIt's called "Get Like You Used To Be." Chris wrote it & recorded it with Chicken Shack on the album "OK Ken." Fleetwood Mac used to play it live at various tempi throughout the early & mid 1970s (it was recorded as a slow blues shuffle). The Nicks grouping did it in 1975 & then replaced it with other opening numbers.

I love this song, especially Christine's piano. I love this entire show. It's my favorite Fleetwood Mac video. I only have it on videotape now, but I'll be getting it(and the 1977 Japan show) on DVD in a few weeks.

By the way, for anyone who loves Christine's blues piano, get that new Chicken Shack/Blue Horizon box set. It's quite different from her keyboards after she joined Fleetwood Mac. GREAT, GREAT blues piano.

As John once said, "Unless you've heard the Chicken Shack records, you've never heard Chris play blues piano." ;)

BTW where did you get the DVD of the 1975 show? Another ebay find?? I am jealous.

The upgraded version of the Largo 1975 DVD (with the Young Music Show from Japan 1977) was available as a bit torrent download at Dimeadozen.org in April this year. Many Mac traders (including me) downloaded it then and I'm sure you can get it from pretty much anyone. The picture quality in both parts of the DVD is outstanding, the only small problem is the FOR SCREENING ONLY" text that appears throughout the DVD. Ragandbone has been posting full quality screencaps and video clips in lower quality at the Rumours and Stevie boards. Although I have no idea of how she got rid of the "FOR SCREENING ONLY" text for some of those screenshots.

As John once said, "Unless you've heard the Chicken Shack records, you've never heard Chris play blues piano." ;)I mostly agree with John, in principle. Aside from the blues licks that surface briefly in stuff like "Rhiannon" & "Don't Stop," about the only time you can hear Chris play any blues is when somebody has broken a string or something's out of tune or she's warming up for "Songbird" ... then she plays "Jumpin' at Shadows."

Incidentally, "Get Like" is the same type of piano playing as "Don't Stop."

I'm amazed at how strong her left hand is during the solo!she has an excellent left hand in her shuffle owing to:

1. Being left-handed.

2. Playing with timeclock Mick Fleetwood for so many years.

Her left hand is what makes her shuffles better than the other pianists who have played FM material in or outside the band. And thanks to the 1992 International Music Publications Ltd. notation, you, too, can mimic Christine's left hand on the shuffle. When I play a Chris shuffle, I slightly adapt her pattern to my own weaker capability -- but heck it gets me through the song.

I bow to Christine's LEFT HAND.

There's a nice version of it from 1970 or 71 on the Madison Blues set. Great guitar work from both Jeremy and Danny, though the vocals are mixed a little low.

My left hand has always been way weaker. I'm still improving, but I've always been a big I-V-I left hand man. I've been practicing some scales with my left hand lately. Mainly, after seeing GLYUTB!

:wavey: All I did was crop the pictures, removing the text; I wouldn't have done this with the video, but it seemed fine for close-ups of Stevie's face.

That's a Bass. :P
But yes.

Anywho, I'm a left handed pianist... I don't think it means anything. One of these days I'll post a clip of me playing Don't Stop. Once I get to the solo (a la The Dance), it's gone! ;)

BTW, I play string instruments (guitar, violin/viola, bass, etc.) right handed. It's all in how you learn it.

That's why I said "remind us again". ;)

I did know, but had forgotten. I actually don't know a lot about the Tusk tour in general. I remember hearing that she played guitar during it, but I'd never seen a picture before.
