Here is the Rhiannon from CapCenter, MD '75. She is a little more subdued here. Maybe it's the pants!

This concert seems to have been little feedback fest, so watch out for that if you are wearing headphones, and playing it loud. Also, there is a hum/buzz, I didn't try to filter it, but if your player has an EQ, you could play with removing some high freq. you might lose some good stuff too, though.
Look for some nutty cuts between Lindsey and Mick during the solo-:distress: zip zip zip , don't get whiplash!

Bob Welch told me that back then, band's didn't really have "professional monitor guys". That it was usually just a roadie, who knew a little about sound, thus explaining why there's sooo much feedback on most of these old recordings.

I actually don't mind it, it is like seeing octagons from the sunlight in the lens, in an old 70's film: it is sort of refressing and real.
I have a friend who is a sound person for stadium shows right now, and he just got promoted to monitor dude. $$

Wow thanks so much for posting that. I had never seen that video in it's entirety...she is so incredibly hot there, it's indescribable really.. I think that may have to be the best Rhiannon performance ever--everything all together, that is STEVIE NICKS at her 100% complete prime for sure

god how I love this video. stevie was in top form. I'd kill for some other videos of rhiannon from the 70's.The ones I know of with both picture & sound are:
1. Rosebud
2. Midnight Special
3. Capitol '75
4. Philly '77
5. Capitol '78
6. Tokyo '77
7. Capitol '79
8. Tusk rehearsals '79
plus bits & pieces of "Rhiannon" in all those docs like "Going Home" & private footage like Days on the Green '76 & '77 -- nearly all of this stuff without sound -- & some snippets with sound like news footage of US Festival, PM Magazine, etc.
Chris, I appreciate your sentiment about "best ever," but considering that there are only about eight Rhiannons from the 1970s floating around, I think the judgment is premature. We're missing literally hundreds of Rhiannons.

Ah, Rosebud.... really, I hold that performance of Rhiannon in high regards, since it was the first video I ever saw for the Mac. I was hooked instantly. I just thought it was one of the coolest things.

Good God, Stevie in pants and showing midriff. Unheard of. Great performance, though the editing in the solo gave me vertigo. That editor should be slapped. Interesting to see Stevie so early on and getting her legs. She seems a bit uncomfortable - like she doesn't quite want to break loose and it is noteworthy that her eyes are closed much of the time. Thanks for posting this ! :wavey:

This leads to the question, When did Stevie switch over from her jeans to her black chiffon co-designed by Margi?
It took place at some point along the 1975 tours. She wasn't in black chiffon at the Landover show in early October, but she was in black chiffon for the Thanksgiving week shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco & San Jose.

What the phuck isn't listed in those liner notes? I think those liner notes have four chapters of War and Peace and the complete first testament, amongst other ridiculous things.

My very first trip to LA - 1985, I think - one of the first things I did was go to Margi Kent's studio which was just down the street from the Improv, actually.
The woman who answered my "ringing of the bell" (you know how these design houses are) was very sweet when I told her that I had come all the way from Texas to see Margi's clothes. She closed the door and I stood there on the sidewalk for about 3 minutes and the door opened and Margi extended her hand. I introduced myself and she welcomed me in. She asked where I had studied design and I got a little flustered. I said, "I haven't studied anything and I barely graduated from high school, but I am a HUGE Stevie Nicks fan and I just had to meet you". She laughed and took me around her very small "studio". I asked her if she had anything of Stevie's that I could see, but she didn't. She did, however, have a few things that she was working on for Diana Ross and the bead work was incredible.
She was a gracious lady. And it's a story I hadn't thought of in a long time...

Hmm, that's odd. Well I will go look a the file on yousendit, but I would say that you should open whatever app you usually view .avi or .mov files in, and open the file from within the program, rather than just clicking on it.
