What is your favorite recording of this ethereal, impressionistic work by Debussy? Boyz II Men didn't do a bad job with it.Jean-Phillipe Collard

Oh you're serious. I actually have the music already. But on the ever so appropriate subject of Debussy, do you have the music for Nuages from Trois Nocturnes? That would be swell.Bobo, you big dumb Bobo, you. I don't have the Nocturnes sheet music. But I have Preludes Book 1, plus my big book of scattered Debussy, plus Golliwog.

You shouldn't be playing Nuages anyway. You should be working on the two Arabesques or the Pour le piano pieces. As Spike Lee said, DO THE RIGHT THING.

I'm am very eager to tackle the challenge of playing orchestra music by myself. Don't let my dream die. But while we wait for you to scurry off to your local music shoppe and purchase the score, we will settle for the La Cathedrale Engloutie music. Upload like you've never uploaded before, oh wise one.Aw heck. Now what have I done? :eek:

I think the children would really benefit from seeing such a masterpiece in its original form. I bet you can dig up Ives's's "The Cage" too. Scan that too. Go on.Go on. Get out. I have a piano redaction of the entire 4th movement of the 9th symphony.

I also have Copland's "Our Town" suite for piano. It's fun to sit on your porch on a summer's eve & play the "Our Town" suite & feel the poignancy seep into your stewed body. It's no longer bittersweet, Bobo. Now, it's just sweet....

What is your damage? My children and I are not interested in your Copland or your Beethoven (assuming that's the unclaimed symphony you meant). We are only interested in the Cathedral and The Cage. If you cannot complete a simple task like this, I have no choice but to disown you. I have the power.Okay, I'll scan it & upload it to YouSendIt.

However, you will have to work on it a bit & then post a audio file of you playing what you can of it.
