...I have an idea! I'm not sure if this was brought up, but...why don't we do a ledgie of the month award...where we can win memoribilia or dvds from all of our trade sites and a certificate or maybe a free subscription to the ledge.:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: Or a king of the forum meaning for ex: brian w. is the king of the stevie forum...any ledgie can help with this. I would like to do this and bring this up to the administrator's eyes b/c we can have fun with this. maybe the ledgies can vote. so fellow mac, stevie, chris, lindsey, pete,etc. fans are you with me?

but I feel to make it less a popularity contest and more a truthful deserving award the administrators & moderators should make the pick instead of letting members vote, making the pick fair to all (That's the way it is done over on metalsludge.tv with the "Sludgeaholic of the Month" & the "Sludgette of the Month" awards.)

Yeah I dunno...I think the idea is good but the follow thru on it would be poorly done, at my guess. At any rate...there are still too few 'supporting' Ledgies here. I think those of us that really care about the Ledge should concentrate on that first. Just a thought.

Exactly. And everybody else will just feel bad about themselves when I win month after month after month. I don't want that. My supreme awesomeness should bring people together, not tear them apart.

I dunno, I still think that could've been done in a light-hearted manner. :p But lets not get into another debate about it.
In any case, I voted NO to this poll. Cool idea, but a lot of people wouldn't go for it.

if a person could only win one time per year (And then you could take the 12 winners and pick a Ledgie of the Year.)
Like I said, Use ONLY the moderators and administrators to make the final decision, And have the vote be unbiased if at possible.
But if were to be a pure popularity contest leave me the hell out, Popularity & myself do not mix at all!!!

I think instead of having a ledgie of the month, maybe a less soul destroying option would be having a reputation or kudos points or something that can be given to a person for something they post, it works on some other boards.

If people are really so desperate for the attention and approval of everyone else around here, you could have a
"Cutest Avatar of the Month OMGZ LOL :blob2: :blob1: :blob2: :] :woohoo: "
contest. That way you're not voting against people, only their cutesy cartoon/photo of preferred Mac member.
And then we don't have to worry about me winning by a landslide month after month, since I don't have one.
