It's just a bogus profile made by a fan. There are tons on MySpace.

No way Jose, sorry, I ain't buyin' it.
I doubt she has the time, just for starters,
and didn't she say recently that she doesn't like
the Internet very much?
Plus, if you notice, all three of those photos are VERY
easily available on Nicksfix - let's see some photos that aren't
all over the freaking Internet already!
And at this point, i m o, it's pretty much gotten to be common
knowledge that Stevie's nickname as a child was "Tee-Dee"
(and would she have used that any-way???)

By the way, her friend Sheryl Crow has one also, which she updates
frequently, complete with photos of her boyfriend.
Except, that's her EX-boyfriend, and she just recently got married
to some one else.

Nope. No way. Not one chance in several hundred billion.
Just take this whole concept, and hold it out over a building -
it'll float in the air just like bricks don't. . . .

I don't really understand the whole myspace thing or blogging or anything like that. But one of the people who wrote on that page has a cool gif of stevie:

Can someone explain to me what a BLOG is ????

Can someone explain to me what a BLOG is ????

A blog is like an online journal- only you can post to it as many times a day as you want.

Here's a definition:

A blog is often a mixture of what is happening in a person's life and what is happening on the Web, a kind of hybrid diary/guide site, although there are as many unique types of blogs as there are people.

People maintained blogs long before the term was coined, but the trend gained momentum with the introduction of automated published systems, most notably Blogger at blogger.com. Thousands of people use services such as Blogger to simplify and accelerate the publishing process.

Blogs are alternatively called web logs or weblogs. However, "blog" seems less likely to cause confusion, as "web log" can also mean a server's log files.

Can anyone read it?

If you want them to. You could make it public or private. If you want it to be private, you password protect it. That way, pople have to ask you for the password to read.

But why would someone do this? I mean...why not pick up a paper and pen and keep a written journal? I would worry that someone would hack into my online journal....

I'm more consistent with my online journal than I have ever been with my paper journals. Plus, you get feedback from people. I started mine in 1999 as a way to express my thoughts and feelings going through infertility. I met a lot of women going through the same thing and I just kept up with it.

Er... Sheryl hasn't married Lance yet I don't think. They are engaged though. What photos are on there?

Hmmmm. she's only written one entry.. not very prolific. I thought she wrote in her diary daily?

It might be amusing if it actually had "messages" from "Stevie".. I don't really get the point of it otherwise. Tho' the fan messages are ok..

what's sad are the fans who comment like they think they're talking to stevie nicks.

there are like ten profiles on myspace for 57YO from phoenix 'stevie nicks'... one wasn't enough?

Memory's a little hazy here, but one I remember more clearly is at a '
basketball game, with the Ex. All of the photos were with the ex,
although the page was created fairly recently.

That was really the point of me starting this thread. I just can't believe that fans think they're actually talking to Stevie. It *is* sad.

I came across this one last week and it's even better: www.myspace.com/stevienicks

I immediately sent an emailing saying at least if you are going to make some gullible people believe you are the real Stevie nicks you could get your facts straight. They have the TISL Planets demo up and are claiming it is the original demo lol.

What's even more humorous (or sadder) are the comments people leave believing they are really talking to Stevie. Want a good laugh, take a look.

Its a fake myspace made by a fan. The general purpose of these is so you can upload music by an artist to myspace music player. That way the artists music can be played when you open someones page. "Fleetwood Mac" also has one. Its not against the rules, since no profit is being made off them. But in the case of the http://www.myspace.com/stevienicks one, thats illegal since someone is posing as her. But usually people will know that its not really the artist, but just they pretend it is. Nothing to be concerned about.

yeah really. If Stevie wanted to start a blog, why not have it as part of the Nicks Fix? Yeah, really sad that people think it is Stevie.

Strangely, one of the "Friends" listed is Tiffany - the singer - remember her?
One of the Debbie Gibson competitors??? ("I THINK we're alone now . . .
'cause there doesn't seem to be any-ONE A-rou-unnd!")
Obviously I'm assuming that THAT person isn't a poser.
But it's WEIRD - you'd think that someone who's been in the
business as long as she has wouldn't be so naive. . . .
