I'll go with CCR, that's childhood sentimentality for me. My mum loves them and made sure we heard them from early on. Each time I hear Willy & the Poor Boys, it brings back childhood memories.
And they are great:woohoo:

CCR here. What an interesting breakup they had too.

I'm amazed that CCR is running away with this one like this! Not that I don't think CCR are a great band, but I'd have figured it'd be a pretty even contest among these three.

I went for The Band, and not even so much for their own material (though that's certainly great stuff too), but because I love their work with Dylan, and The Last Waltz, with its string of guest stars, is just incredible. I think they could have played behind anybody and given an incredible amount of life to their songs.

Oh, a very hard one. What pr*ck can come up with such a choice?

Looking at pure musical and instrumental quality, it's The Band for me. But THEY didn't write Rockin' All Over The World, Proud Mary and Fortunate Son.

So. Hail Fogerty.

Oh wow.......for once, this was a tough choice for me. Its definitely between The Band and CCR....But I sided with "The Band" because The Last Waltz is pure brilliance.

CCR's my favorite band after Fleetwood Mac.

CCR's my favorite band after Fleetwood Mac.

I could *almost* say the same thing. I just really love them.
CCR really hits the spot.

The Band was more versatile though. They had 3 distinct (& equally talented) vocalists...and the music was much more influential, I think. I think the musicianship was also better. As much as I love CCR, if you remove Fogerty, the power of the band would be lost.
