Hey I was at that show too..2nd row..center...I haven;t found any pics or anything from that night either..darn..I have the jones beach show but I have to say .I think the Detroit show blows the Jones beach show away..
Stevie did have gloves on for the edge walk..I shook her hands twice...:-)
If you find anthing from that show I would really really like to see too...please..
I was dressed in a Stevie dress and shawl and top hat and feathers that night..with my 2 daughters..Someone sent me a pic and you can just make out me in the crowd..
Funny thing is about 3 months later,I was working the Stones concert here where I live and the guy who did the sound system for Stevie was working this concert and he remembered ME! even described exactly what I had worn that night..LOL...and where I was sitting..What a small world ...lol ok sorry for going off subject...

I was sitting like third row. The security was so crazy. The guy let us come up, and then the one right by the edge, near the speakers/amps was horrible. Grabbed my wrist, (bruised me) and sort of tossed me aside. I was thrilled to realize that there I stood totally on the stage practically.
I had this crazy bedazzled top on, crimped hair...And my friend sitting lawn totally saw Stevie grab my hands, and then jump up and down on the big screen, which was projecting it all.
Best night.

Oh Yeah I remember that security dude!! He kept eyeballing me and my camera, even before the show started..I told him ..hey dude they told me in parking lot I could bring it in and I walked through security with it in my hands..Luckily there was a really nice female security guard who sorta stepped in and watched over us..Then as luck would have it..my camera battery DIED...aggghhhhh..Anyhow the female guard was right on..I think she liked my outfit..and was getting a kick out how excited I was..

That third picture...When she's doing the walk...I'm sure that I was like six or so people over. She was all smiles. She said something to me, and my friend and I looked at each other like, what did she say? "Something something girl!" Those security guys were asses. The one was nice, and I talked to the girl that you mentioned. Some are so cool, and others are like, get a life.

i was at the detroit show, 5th row... with my two neices and my husband. I know security was tight, but my neice is only like 4'11 and she asked one security guard if we could go up when edge started, he said sure... well when it started... there was a rush and she was like "hell i wont be able to see over everyone" so we didnt go at 1st, well he came up and said "you ladies gonna go?" she explained shes so short...blah...he said he grabbed her and my wrist and yanked us up there right in the front! so yes we did get to greet stevie... but thanks to that security guard! He was totally awesome!!!

I was at both those shows at the DTE, too. The Fleetwood Mac one, I was front row, at Stevie's feet, and shook her hand - or rather, she grabbed mine in both of hers and held on and on and ON. :o The Stevie one, yah, security SUCKED. They were e-vil. I was trying to move up through the show to seats that were empty, and they kept sending me back (I was, like, 10th row centre, I think). Anyway, one guy FINALLY realized that there would be no stopping me from getting to the stage for the Edge walk - I was there with someone else from this board, and we just took off for the stage. We both shook her hand again. :) It was my birthday, and a perfect night.

Melacine, thanks for posting the photos - such great memories. I have never seen video from the shows - with the security, I'm not surprised. I'd love to see some! If it's out there... it hasn't turned up here yet!

Usually security isn't that bad. I sat 3rd row for the first Fleetwood Mac show back in like September 03. (Sounds so long ago) But we were real close, and my friend even got Lindsey to sign his BuckinghamNicks album. They let him hop like three rows to get to the stage.
But then at the Stevie concerts, they're all puffed up and ready to fight people off. The one guy bruised me. It's like, dont' take it so far guys. They should understand that we won't do anything crazy. A smile, a hand shake, eye contact...that makes us happy. We dont' need to hurl ourselves onstage and throw her over our backs and run off into the sunset.
Give us a little more credit than that.

Thanks Jill!! They look a little clearer when they are full size.... I was soooooo upset that my pix didn't turn out but now I guess I'm just thankful I got a few decent ones..... I would kill to have the one with Don during Hotel California to not be so washed out--sigh!! Such is life!! ha ha :woohoo:

Thanks for posting those pixs.Nice..I am so bummed my camera decided to die that night..lol..ahh well I have my memories...I remember Stevie did have her gloves on for the Edge walk only because I was like..oh i wanted to see if her skiin was as soft as everyone says...ha ha..

Hi Everyone: Thanks for posting the pics to the DTE show...I was at that show too...what a great night it was..the security there is horrible...I was hoping someone taped it and we'd get a cd/dvd out of it but haven't seen anything so far...makes me sad cause it was such a awesome show...stevie was great...her voice was the best even better than when I saw her for the shangri-la show...don was great too but his voice was a bit rough (I've seen him in concert since 89) and stevie since 90 with the mac my first stevie solo was 94 for street angel (and she did The Chain that night too but we got a shortened version of Blue Denim because of a bad thunderstorm which made the power go out....other than that is was great...) let me get back to the stevie /don concert....it was a great evening...I'd love to get the real pics too or if anyone knows of a dvd or cds let me know...(seeking dons whole set too)besides stevies....I was on the right side of the stage don't really recall what row I was in maybe double 'L' or so? or 'O' but I could see pretty good....I was so happy to just see two of my favorite singers together on one stage....I wished that we could've heard stevie and don sing 'rock 'n' roll star' but they stopped after 'leather & lace' it was after 11:00 so I guess thats why?...either way it was awesome night....I do hope there is a cd out there cause I'd really love it...what about the fmac sept 14/04 show? haven't seen anything for that either? I couldn't go that evening though I wanted too....Well, just had to add my voice to the mix....

I was in row NN left center section...basically way in the back :) so most of these suck badly (which is why I never posted them before). I did take video of Hotel California with the binoculars, but it's shaky and has no sound, so I don't think anyone would care for it.

Yes--security at DTE sucks big time!! I do have some photos that we took at the Sept 14th show but I would need to shrink them down to post....... ummmm Shel........ could you help?? LOL!! :D The audio for the show (Sept 14) was posted a while ago at one of the Stevie sites...... I have it on CD but it isn't the best quality.....

I so wish that I could have seen her and Don do 'So You Want to Be a Rock and Roll Star'. Unfortunately, at DTE there is a curfew. 11:00, the music needs to be done, or there is some ridiculous fee of like $1,000 per MINUTE. As I recall, they ended at 11:05. Maybe 7 after. (The digital clock on the side of the stage, directed to the performers to keep on the set schedule)
It was great.

I got a couple of her singing Edge from our disposable camera but they didn't turn out the best either!! We had 3 cameras that night--and all of the pix were pretty much a disaster except for a few....... the one camera I kept trying to find in my purse and never found it or used it--sure wish I would have because I probably could have gotten at least a couple of decent pix--we've used that one before without flash and had some decent results........ ah well........ I've got a few SYW pix I can post thanks to Shel for fixing them up for me :) Maybe they should go under a new thread though--what do you think???

I was also at all the DTE shows. Security is ALWAYS terrible...no matter who you go see at DTE.
