This was posted over on the Stevie board by reebokandlace (:xoxo: ) but I thought it should be here too.

-Larsen wrote more than 30 songs with longtime Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, which were intended to be used for a duo-collaborative album titled "The Gift of Screws." Although legal battles ensued and the pair's friendship dissolved, Larsen emerged with copyright ownership over the majority of the pieces.

Also the mention of him being linked to Jessica Nicks!

I'm wondering if the same person who wrote Brian Larsen's Wikipedia entry contributed to Lindsey's as well? Lindsey's also lists a connection:

Rejoining Fleetwood Mac
While assembling material for his yet to be released fourth solo album in the late 90's, Buckingham contacted Fleetwood for assistance on a song. Eventually all of the other members who were in the band during Buckingham's tenure got together and arranged for the reunion tour that was called, The Dance. After co-writing a song for famed producer Brian Larsen's "ClockWork" album, Larsen and Buckingham began collaborating together on new material for a yet-unfinished album entitled "The Gift of Screws." Buckingham is currently married and has three children. His brother was an olympic medalist, and Lindsey played for a collegiate water polo team.

I thought this was all true. I ordered The Last of the Romantics a little while ago but it hasn't yet come so I can't comment on it.

How do you know it's not true? Why do you think GOS was never released?

So LB cowrote all of those songs with a 15 year old? I'm thinking not.

I thought the reason GOS never came out was because Lindsey didn't have the rights to his songs and that was what the SYW project was about. You've been misinformed. :wavey:

Could be. Obviously some Larsen funny business is occurring even on Lindsey's entry. Whoever it was wasn't terribly informed to begin with, since Lindsey didn't play water polo in college. He played in high school.

WTF? Is this some kind of cosmic joke??? That football clip on I Love The 80's 3D where the guy snaps his shin in half was more pleasurable than that 30 seconds. SNAP! SNAP! I am thinking about it right now just to get my mind off that mangled music clip. Although I have to say it was really nice of his mom to post a few nice reviews on there, I'm sure he must have paid her a fortune to do it, still it was nice of her. One more thing, is this a joke? You know what, it has to be a joke. I will accept no other explaination.

Doesn't it say this guy was born in 1986? Lindsey worked on GoS from approximately 1994/5 on.......how could anyone believe he cowrote 30 songs with a ten year old? LB has used plenty of his GoS songs on various projects, albums, Soundstage...etc.......he obviously has the rights to them. I want to know how this Brian got away with using BTLH, SYHA and IKINW on his album. ININW was written before this kid was born.....did he get permission or use the songs illegally?

Here is what All Music Guide, which lists him as a percussionist, has to say about Brian Larsen:

"Biography by Greg Prato
Born in Laurel, MD, multi-instrumentalist Brian Larsen became infatuated with music at an early age via MTV and a small hand-me-down keyboard from his older brother. Eventually taking formal piano lessons, Larsen alternated between the keys, guitar, and drums, which lead to penning original compositions. In 1996, Larsen formed Twilights Moon along with friend Trevor Hunter, resulting in such releases as 1998's Pi, 1999's Classics, 2000's Slope, and 2001's ClockWork (the latter of which contained a song co-written with ex-Fleetwood Mac leader Lindsey Buckingham, to whom the album is dedicated). Larsen also founded the record label Protocol. "

All Music Guide's review of The Slope:

"Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The Slope, Brian Larsen's first foray into the breach under the name Twilights Moon, is a rough-hewn, homemade pop record with progressive inclinations, as evocative as it is frustrating. To his credit, Larsen doesn't hesitate to paint on a grand scale, something missing from many artists of his time, from major leaguers to minor leaguers, but he lacks the focus to truly bring it all together. He is certainly trying for something ambitious, particularly since the album is essentially an instrumental neo-suite, flowing from piano-oriented to guitar-oriented instrumental sections, then delving into large drum solos. Halfway through, vocals appear, but they're so far buried in the mix that they're hardly leads — they're more like another fabric in the sonic favorite. Larsen probably does have some good ideas here — you can hear glimpses of what he's trying to get at it if you stick at it long enough — but it takes a lot of patience to hear what he's trying to do, particularly because there is almost no rhythm here as he flails away at his drums. The end result isn't quite the provocative instrumental pop suite that he intended it to be, but more like sub-pop cacophony, filled with imprecise leads, uneven tape synchs, but, most damagingly, an insular worldview that's almost impossible for outsiders to accept. For even the most patient listeners with the refined tastes, this is a bit of a trying, even headache-inducing, listen. Fortunately, he got a lot better the next time around." (1 and 1/2 out of 5 stars)

All Music Guide's review of Clockwork:

"Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Within the liner notes of his second full-length record as Twilights Moon, Brian Larsen dedicates Clockwork to Lindsey Buckingham, "who is still the best musician ever." Larsen doesn't just draw sustenance from Buckingham's music, he uses it as direct inspiration, adapting "The Ledge" for the album's opening track, "I Have My Doubts." In case you're not familiar with that track, it's from the first side of Fleetwood Mac's Tusk, perhaps the most extreme and, for connoisseurs, best example of Buckingham's talents. Larsen picks up on the warped, hyper-sensitive pop genius running rampant through Tusk, filters it through a love of new wave and an indie rock lo-fi sensibility to create a truly fascinating indie pop album. Make no mistake about it — this is a passionate labor of love, created by somebody so obsessed with idiosyncratic pop records he decided to make one of his own. His ambition is admirable and his achievements often are. He falls prey to many of the faults of a homemade recordmaker — frankly, he could use a real drummer or a drum machine to give the music a needed sense of stability — and the sonics are often thick with a four-track haze, but the music itself is intriguing. After all, there is a reason why Larsen dedicates the record to Buckingham, since he shares the same desire to twist McCartneyesque piano ballads, folky acoustic tunes, and Brian Wilson-inspired studio craft into personal expression. He may not be as accomplished as his idol — few are — but the result is an original, intriguing work that suggests Larsen is on his way to developing his own distinctive voice." (Three out of five stars)

Note: the tracklisting for Clockwork does not include "Steal Your Heart Away."

EDIT: at bottom of the Amazon page, interestingly enough--

*The Best Albums of All Time: A list by Brian C. Larsen
*Brian Larsen's Favorites, Volume II: A list by Brian C. Larsen

There is a similar thread on Stevie's forum. So this dude wrote a song with Lindsey on that cd? Is All Music legit? I heard some of it on Amazon and I only hope he's a better songwriter than a musician coz it didn't sound good to me. He got really shi**y reviews there too. Weird.

RIAA Platinum Record Awarded Artist Brian Larsen of Famed Band Twilight's Moon Obtains Emergency Restraining Order Against Trespassing Stalker

Brian Larsen, also known as one-man-band "Twilight's Moon," obtained an emergency restraining order against a stalker Monday, March 28, 2005. The woman, a 43 year-old drug-addict, broke into Larsen's Maryland home and threatened his life.

(PRWEB) March 30, 2005 -- Brian Larsen, the musician also known as "Twilight's Moon," obtained a permanent restraining order Monday, March 28, 2005 against a stalker who broke into his Maryland home and threatened to kill the young artist.

Larsen, just one of a long line of celebrities who have had chronic issues with stalkers in the last year, obtained a temporary restraining order on Monday, March 21, 2005, the evening after a stalker broke into his Maryland home.

At 9p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2005, a 43 year-old woman, identified by police as "Laura," broke into Brian Larsen's residence in Maryland and stormed around his house looking for Larsen's bedroom. The woman, a drug addict, claimed that she needed to speak with Larsen in person.

Although Larsen's telephone number and address were unpublished, the stalker claimed to have obtained them by tracing his whereabouts, following him and hiring an investigator. Starting on February 26, the woman began calling Larsen on his private cellular phone and leaving threatening messages, including personal information about his activities that day and threatening that she would "regret what she would do next."

After the woman entered his home, Larsen immediately called 9-1-1 and members of the musician's family demanded that she leave. The woman continued threatening Larsen and began crying hysterically, threatening to kill him. She remained in his home until police arrived nearly twenty minutes later.

Upon their arrival, the woman was detained, and described by police as "clearly intoxicated and inebriated, but possessing a valid drivers' license." She was immediately forced to leave the area.

The following morning, upon advice from his attorney, Larsen obtained a temporary restraining order against the woman in a Maryland District Court.

At 10:45a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2005, a judge, after hearing nearly an hour of testimony from Brian Larsen, including transcripts of telephone messages threatening Larsen's life, issued a permanent restraining order against the woman. In addition, the judge ordered that she not come within 1,000 yards of Larsen, his home, or any location where he may appear, both in public and private. The judge further demanded that the stalker pay all court fees and attend counseling. The 43 year-old woman was also served with a warrant for her arrest after failing to appear for the trial. "This is the cost of having a public persona," Brian Larsen said in a March 29 statement. "I'm just thankful that the authorities responded as quickly and with as much force as they could so as to protect my safety and privacy."

Brian Larsen is a musician best known for his work with the million-selling band "The All-American Rejects," for which he received two gold records and a Record Industry Association of America "Platinum Record" award in March, 2005. On his own, Larsen has released nine albums under the name "Twilight's Moon," and has received a gold record for a 2002 single titled "Electric." Larsen is also known for having worked with members of The Cure, Fleetwood Mac, and famed independent musician Lisa Loeb.

The restraining order granted against his stalker comes the day before the release of Larsen's new single, "In The Fall," his first release under the Twilight's Moon name in more than a year and a half.

Gold Record Awarded Artist Brian Larsen of Band Twilight's Moon Hospitalised for Drug Overdose

Indie rock icon Brian Larsen was hospitalized Friday, November 12, after overdosing on a mix of drugs.

(PRWEB) November 17, 2004 -- 18 year old Brian Larsen, the independent rock icon best known for his run-in's with famous bands like The All-American Rejects and The Cure, was hospitalized late Friday night for overdosing on what doctors said to be a "lethal dose" of the tranquilizers Valium and Klonopin.

Although it was unknown what other drugs Larsen had in his system at the time, he was hospitalized through the night and released some time in the early morning.

"I think what we have here is an artist in his prime crumbling under the pressures before him," noted psychologist James Barron. Although Larsen's management plead "no comment" on the issue, Larsen is expected to address the situation in the coming weeks.

Take note of the fact that these are Larsen's own press releases.
