I just saw the Chris Isaak Show is coming out on DVD according to Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005JM68/002-3444591-2643261?v=glance&n=130
...but I'm not sure about that 1969 release date (or more importantly if it will include the SN episode or not).
I know Amazon put items with release dates like 50 years from now when they're not sure about the release dates at the time they post the items, but I can't say I've ever seen them BACK date a release date like this one. Anyone know what's up with this?

Amazon.com has always had an option where you could sign up for information on a title, and Amazon.com will then contact you if and when it's eventually released. They used that method to gauge how many potential buyers the item would have, and apparently they would share that information with the various studios.
Well, they've recently revised their approach, and now they assign a "dummy date" (December 31st, 1969) to all of the items that are "not currently produced" but may be released at some point. Apparently so that they can now also take pre-orders on the titles.
It's confusing, to say the least, and it's not an assurance that the items are currently being readied for release or that they ever will be released.
In the case of the Chris Isaak Show, there are no current plans... at least none that have been announced... to release it on DVD.
I'll definitely post about it if that ever changes. :)
