...so who do people want as guests ?

Obviously the Rumours line up would be at the top of most people's lists but its rather difficult to do. I'm trying though all the time!

I wrote to Janet Robin and she gave me contact information for other people that were in Lindsey's OOTC band (Liza Carbe, Scott Breadman, Frederico Pol). Opinions on one with one of these people ?

I've been trying for the longest time to set one up with Bekka Bramlett but she is quite elusive. I'm trying from half a dozen angles on that one and I'm requesting one w/ Dave Mason again. Eventually I would LOVE to get one with all of the members of Fleetwood Mac (except Danny I guess which is probably next to impossible).

I think another one with Jeremy Spencer might be a good idea too as that was our first and not too many people participated in it.

Anyway, thoughts on these ? They are quite a lot of work for the guests (as me!) but I think they have been fun and informative too.

It gives a different perspective on past events while the present is a little dull...

Hi Marty,

I think it would be great to have a Q&A with Bekka Bramlett...

Other suggestions: How about Martin Birch or Richard Dashut??? Or maybe Ken Caillat???

Hey Marty!
I would LOVE to see a Q&A with John Stewart. Love that guys music. :-)

Do you think there is any way possible to get in touch with Sharon Celani. She's one lady we don't know very much about, but would love to hear more. I think she'd be knocked out to do it.

I agree with Abra, Richard Dashut would be a great one if you could get him...but I'm sure that'll be about as easy as getting one of the Rumours crew http://theledge.hypermart.net/ubb/frown.gif

I would love to hear from members of Stevie's solo band, who we really haven't heard much from. Like Jo and Jensen said, Sharon Celani would be awesome! I love her! Not only would she get questions about Stevie, which is to be expected, but I would love to ask about her.

Other members of her band that would be great Q & A guests would be Waddy (might be difficult to get, but hey, you got Peter Green!), Bobbeye Hall, Sara Fleetwood (good Stevie and Mick questions), Russ Kunkel, Sandy Stewart, or any of her other backup singers. I would love to learn more about Eliscia Wright.

But I don't know how successful these people are today, so it might be difficult in getting some.

Thanks for getting our input in this, Marty. I have loved the Q & A's, but unfortunately have not been to familiar with certain guests. Keep up the GREAT work. You know we all appreciate it greatly.

Another name from the Cradle band would be Steve Ross. Know how to get in touch with him?

Thanks for the input. A lot of the difficulty with these is obviously getting in touch with the people (and then verifying that it is indeed them).

Martin Birch would be neat but where in the world is he now ?

Richard Dashut would be awesome; I've been working on that one. I did contact people for John Stewart but at the time his wife was very ill and they said he wasn't doing interviews. Maybe I should try again though...

Josh, it's a good idea to shoot for Stevie's crew but I haven't 'bumped' into them that much. I seem to come in contact more with people from the past rather than the present.

Barbara-- why Steve Ross and not any of the others ? Just curious. I do have contact info for them but not Steve.

As a reminder too, Neal Heywood was in the OOTC band as well. Hopefully he'll be going in August. He had to reschedule but I'm not 100% sure that date is ok with him yet.

Thanks for the input everyone!

Mindy Stein and Lori Perry Nicks would be nice as well...I belive someone told me that Mindy Stein is possibly teaching a voice class through a school in LA this summer...Maybe you could catch up with her? Lenny Castro and Carlos Rios would be fun to drill http://theledge.hypermart.net/ubb/biggrin.gif just kidding...anyway...interesting question...How bout Christopher Nicks..or are you just going for musicians?

ThePenguin

Laura--

Several of those are interesting too; Christopher Nicks would be an interesting guest too but if he probably did one it would be with the Nicksfix I guess (Ask Christopher ?)

Oddly in the 5+ years I've been running The Penguin, the only one from Stevie's 'camp' that I've come in contact with is Ginny. Kind of odd; maybe Stevie's associates maybe only visit the Nicksfix and the exclusively Stevie sites and don't look at the Fleetwood Mac connection? I really don't know.

Marty -
Besides being in Lindsey's Cradle Band, he was in Mick's Zoo band that recorded "I'm Not Me" and hung out at Mick's Blue Whale house (according to Mick's book). He also played with the Zoo on Lindsey's SNL appearance.

From what I understand, John's wife, Buffy, continues to have health problems -- a tumor behind her eye -- so it may not be very feasible.

I must admit it has been quite a while since I last saw Martin Birch´s name on a record... From 1980 to 1992 he produced all of Iron Maiden´s albums, but after that he sort of disappeared...

But maybe someone in the Maiden camp will know how to get in touch with him???

WOW cool... do you happen to know what school it is Laura? I could totally drive there and talk to her! Is it a JC or a university? hmm probably a JC. Wow if she is teaching this summer it would be a great time right now to get in touch with her. I think she would be great... and if she did it she could help us get in touch with more Stevie solo people...

Ok i found it... Mindy is teaching at the Los Angeles Music Academy... there's pictures of her on the website and stuff... i'm sure she could be reached there for a Q and A

That is some mighty fine detective work! I just sent an email to the Academy so we'll see what happens. Keep your fingers crossed! Thanks. http://theledge.hypermart.net/ubb/smile.gif

Jimmy Iovine would be really neat to do a Q&A with. It would probably be pages and pages and pages. :-)

All of these suggestions are great! I would LOVE for Richard Dashut to do a Q and A. Do we know who any of the roadies were for the Dance tour? I bet they'd have some stories to tell! There's a guy at school that was a roadie for the Grateful Dead for awhile..

Eddy Quintela! Just kidding, I know he can't be gotten, any more than Chris http://theledge.hypermart.net/ubb/frown.gif

The ones we've had have been so great, Marty. Thanks for all the work http://theledge.hypermart.net/ubb/smile.gif

A good friend of mine says that her mom (does this sound convoluted or what?) knows a roadie who was on the Mirage tour. I'd love to sit down and talk to him a while...I told her to get him in touch with me....we'll see if that ever happens.

Someone that I think would be great would be Ray Lindsey....I'd think being LB's right hand man on stage might lend a lot of insight into the band and LB.

Anyway to get in touch with him???

how about Ray Lindsey, Sharon Celani, Mindy Stein...

and of course the people you mentioned (Bekka, etc.) would be fine. Appreciate your getting people into this and also asking us for input. keep up the great work! Look forward to more Q&As.

Wow, all of these suggestions are really good.

Marty, how about Judy Wong. Wasn't she a personal assistant(secretary) to Fleetwood Mac? I'm sure a lot of intersting topics would come up in a q&a session with her. Just happened to notice this, but "Tango In The Night" is dedicated to her!

How about any of the Fritz people, if you could get a hold of them. Ray Lindsey would be a good one. Or Ken Calliat. I would like to see Martin Birch, too. A Dance roadie would be awesome.

Mario

Being a Peter Green's huge fan and because the Q & A session with Martin Celmins will probably be a big fiasco,I would like to get Mike Vernon, but I'm sure Judy Wong would be great as well.
God bless you.
Mario.

Sorry Iam so late but just saw this today!

A fine one to speak with if he is *allowed* to talk...would be Bob Aquirre...Lindsey's long time friend and helper from Fritz Daz!

Richard Dashut or Ken Callit are a good choice as is LB's Guitar Tech...Ray Lindsey !

Oh, another idea... How about John Courage?
Cheers for Great Music !!! ~Sky~

Herbert Worthington would be an interesting choice. don't know if someone has suggested him already. also, i read a Q&A on another site with the percussion player from stevie's millenium shows- forgot his name- i think the Latino one?

Jessica Leigh

Hey now that this has been brought back i thought i'd ask if you ever got ahold of Mindy- you said you emailed the Music Academy and i was recently wondering what came of that... then agian i figure if the outcome was good we would have heard of it by now... oh well

L.Compaq, I believe the percussionist you're referring to is Lenny Castro, the guy who was also in the background of the dance video.

As for Q&A requests, I'd be knocked out if Warren Zevon did it, or perhaps Behind The Mask producer Greg Ladanyi - he may be able to fill us in with unknown info from that era(unreleased material, funny stories, etc). I also agree with the Richard Dashut & Judy Wong suggestions.

Actually, I think she is thinking of Danny Reyes. He was Stevie's percussionist at the Millennium shows, as well as the AHI benefit.

Here are some people I'd like to see on the
Q&A Site...

Waddy Wachtel - I'm sure he can tell us a lot of stories and clear up that so called scandal he was involved in ...

Christopher Nicks - Since he travels quite a
bit with Stevie, he'd be a great subject !

and one more Q&A session with Bob Welch !!!

Please !!!!!!!!!!

For Stevie Nicks !!!
