We're in the '60s - for the first time since early MAY. It was beautiful here today. Altho I actually saw people wearing those big puffy ski jackets while on a bike ride. Dumbasses.

Boo. Hiss.
I hate snow. And winter. As far as I'm concerned, it could be 85 and sunny, every day of the year.

I hate snow.
I'm with you. I just hate to be around a bunch of frozen water. Blech. If I ever want snow, it's 2 hours away. But it rarely happens and even then I like to see snow from inside a lodge next to a fireplace big enough to stand in.
I love California.

The funny thing is: when we had snow & high 20-degree temps for Xmas last year, everyone I saw was running around all day in jeans and long-sleeved shirts playing in the snow. And the week before, we were in the '80s, so they couldn't use the "I'm used to it now" excuse...

Mmm. I like snow. But I wouldn't want to live in it much. It is about an hour from my door here most of the year. Hard to believe in LA, but true. I go up and play there in December.

It is 7:00 am here (I should be in the shower..but when I saw snow...just had to respond)
Anyway it is pouring rain right now-winds are 25-30 mph and they (National Weather Service) are telling us, beside the high winds warning and the flood warnings for tonight..."Expect 1-3 inches of snow, overnight"
I just love it here- It always changes.
There is an old new england expression:
Don't like the weather?...wait 10 min..
(inuendo, it will change-for my Ledgie pals in Ca or Tx that might not get that little joke:nod:
Everyone stay warm and dry

Diss, look what you've done! Today's Boston forecast:
...
Tonight: Periods of rain before 3am, then snow likely. Low around 36. Windy, with a north wind between 24 and 33 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Wednesday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 9am, then a chance of rain showers. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly sunny, with a high around 46. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 16 and 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Gah, it is in the forecast already! I am not ready!

Oh, you poor dears. I'm not ready for snow yet. We don't usually get it for another month. But, at night, it's dipping down in the 30's. That's the **** I'm not ready for.:(

I just don't get the appeal of snow. I accidently lived in Chicago once. I will say sometimes seeing the snow fall downtown was kinda magical. But with that comes the shoveling, the "I need to warm up my car for 15 minutes before I can go anywhere", digging yourself out of a snow pile. Freezing, frigid air, slippery streets and sidewalks. Ugh. No thank you.

Thanks for the sympathy. You may not have noticed but our forecasted low is 36 tonite. :distress: Plus, we are in the middle of a noreaster with strong wind gusts which ruined my umbrella this morning. But we are lucky that it is nothing like the hurricanes down south.

 My umbrella turned inside out, and the little metal pieces broke. No big surprise there. I park in a wide open parking lot and the wind really kicks up, then I walk between these two buildings that act as a wind tunnel. Good times. Today is so much better, but freaking COLD.
