That's one of the most retarded things I've heard in awhile. I've never tried to buy anything like that on a Sunday morning, so I don't know if they do that here. That is extremely stupid though.

I know they lock up the sudaphed and any other cold remedies because the druggies use chopped up pills as ingredients to make meth (non traceable and legal ya know!)...its really lame because a few eejits have ruined things for decent people. Sorry your son is sick, hope he gets better soon

I got carded last week when I bought my daughter cough medicine. I was like.....wha...this is chidrens cold medicine!!! Your carding me for something I'm going to give a 3 year old?! I guess there are idiots that make meth with that stuff, but still.... I wasn't buying 8 bottles.

That is completely stupid! Sounds like something Wallyhell would do. When I buy fuel injection cleaner for my truck, or spray paint, they have to enter on the register that I'm over 18, in order to purchase it!!! Just sell me the ****, and quit playing Big Brother!!!:distress:

I know - I bought some Tylenol Allegery Sinus pills the other day and I bought five boxes - one for the office, one for home, one for my travel kit, and two others for random places. I have sinus problems and take it sometimes every day in allegery season. Well, I have to let them photo copy my driver's license, fill out like two forms, and was advised I was being filmed purchasing the stuff and that I was suspect for buying so much, etc. I was so horrified and insulted I would almost rather havbe runny nose

Oh.My.God. Sorry, Jill.
Everything you guys have described is the most retarded thing ever. Yes, they're all the most retarded.
I don't think we do that here? I think I'll ask. Did they pass laws or something that none of us heard about? Strand?
Sorry your son is sick, too.
Ha, I've only noticed the nicotine replacement products in locked glass cases.

omg that is soooo retarded!!! is there like, a last call time for selling it at night, too? what if you get sick after 2 am?

i was carded for buying caffeine pills... just plain old caffeine pills- no other ingredient... one pill is equivalent to one cup of coffee... i was appalled... i was only buying one bottle, too. (taking one of those is just quicker than brewing it and drinking it) i asked the lady why she needed my id and she said that it was their policy not to sell caffeine pills to kids under 18, though there weren't any restrictions on the label...

i wonder what they do if a 12 yr old tries to buy 17 canisters of coffee...

you are right, my hubby broke out in hives at like midnight once & when i called the "ask a nurse" # our insurance provides, they told me to give him benadryl, i couldn't find it to buy anywhere except the 1 24-hr walgreen's way across town~

That is f**king retarded. I've seen birth control locked up and I thought that was really stupid. What if somebody is too embarassed to ask somebody who works there to get it for them? They get knocked up or worse? Stupid. They should be passing that sh*t out. I hope your son is better.

Yep, I noticed today that The Trojans were locked up at the local Kmart. Never mind being shy to ask for them try finding a clerk. I had that problem with the locked up DVDs at the same store.

WOW. This is the weirdest thing I've ever heard. Where do you people live? Granted, I'm hardly ever sick. But to not be able to easily purchase over the counter medication just amazes me. Sorry to hear this.

I hope you managed to get what you need and take care of your child.

When I went to CVS to buy cold medicine for Sara, I had the damndest time finding it. Then, I found these little plastic cards all hanging up where the shelves should have been. So, you take the little plastic card to the pharmacist, and they get it for you. Then, you sign a paper stating that you bought the ****. Whatever....

I was behind a lady at the grocery store that was trying to purchase some Kotex...well, he couldn't get them to scan and he said "Ma'am, do you remember the price on this?" and she looked like she wanted to crawl under the table...he hesitated like he was about to ask for a price check and I was like, aww hell to the no...I tried to hold back a giggle and then she was like "um, I think 2.99" and he was like "perfect" - she looked so relieved...

lol that **** is never as cheap as $2.99 unless she got a 4 pack.

that's one thing i have a major problem with... females NEED this stuff, and they charge an arm and a leg for it... most normal sized (not travel sized) boxes of either pads or tampons are over $5... i mean, what the hell? it's like condoms.. they should be either giving them out, or they should be super cheap... but what are we gonna do about it? stage a protest and bleed on the floor?
