Personally, I'm going to get trashed out of my mind tomorrow so I want to save myself a bit tonight. My poor liver.
Plus, I'm exhausted.

Speak for yourself. It's not even 11PM here in LA. I'm heading out in a few moments to suck the life out of the night.

yeah, it's actually only 10:30? And I just had Sushi, or rather, shrimp tempura rolls and california rolls, with a salad. While watching Will and Grace.
So, my night is shaping up just great. I've been invited to do something fun, but I'm not sure I'll go. I'm usually tired on Fridays.
Basically, speak for yourself. :D

Tomorrow is the first home game for the Dayton Bombers (hockey), so I'm pretty restless. A couple of opening night eves ago, I was so restless that I stayed up taring out this gawd awful wall paper in my bathroom.

Allergies, work, life have been kicking my arse lately. I'm usually so exhausted by the time Friday nite rolls around, that I don't want to go out. Saturday night is more my party night. If I end up going to a bar for the UT/Tech game tomorrow, the drinkin' will begin at kickoff, 2:30 PM...

wow, the simpsons just came on, too.
The tempura rolls were heaven (because there is something that is fried in them, obviously). I usually get Unagi (sp?) instead. (the cooked eel). This tempura has captured my heart, though.

I've been pretty exhausted/stressed lately, too. I took off from work half day Wednesday, and haven't been back since! That place is really pissing me off! Plus, Sara has been on fall break, so I've spent a few good days with her. I'm tired, but fighting it right now! I really should go to bed.

thanks for sharing. yeah, I know, you hardly like any foods. :wavey: It's just crab meat, avacado, and cucumber with rice. What's so bad? Nevermind, I won't understand anyway. Oh, and wrapped in seaweed and sprinkled with salty fish eggs. But still!

Oh, and wrapped in seaweed and sprinkled with salty fish eggs. But still!THAT does not. :p
You're right though, I don't like many foods. I'm a picky little ****.

Yeah. And people here generally have a really wide pallet (sp?), because there is so much variety, because we have so many ethnicities. I honestly think this is probably the actual best place to get Sushi in America. :D
Anyway, my point is, I like to try new foods. And usually they're good!

Unagi is good...but Ugami (sea urchin) is the sickest crap I ever had. It tastes like you grabbed a handful of ocean silt and shoved it your mouth. So gross and super hardcore sushi. I couldn't eat sushi for 3 years after trying the Ugami. I love sushi, but stay far, far away from Ugami (sea urchin).
In SF, Nori Sushi had the best stuff ever. I miss that little tiny place off Market/Octavia.

Lucky you. I was up almost all night last night. And the night sucked the life right outta me. Or something. I need to rest.

Me no like that one. Blech. I actually don't get any of the raw fish ones, either. I've tried many of them. It's not because of the taste of the raw fish, it's the texture. Like biting into an eraser. But I can stuff down a few pieces if I really try. ;) Since I live in Oakland, I go to...anywhere...there's like, four sushi places within about 10 blocks of my house. :)

Hey, I tried calamari for the first time while I was in SF this summer! Good ****! But, don't ever buy it in Indiana. YUCK!

regular, unless I'm feeling "lucky"
EDIT: wait. on second thought, I was thinking Vietnamese cuisine when I first read your post. I've never seen peanuts in the MM roll. please describe :licks lips: :)

Unless I'm mistaken, Tempura shrimp is the crunchy shrimp, right? It's deep fried. I can't think of anything else that would make shrimp crunchy.
What's MM roll?

you may be right. I always thought crunchy shrimp was "crunchy" because of the roe.
an MM roll is crab, asparagus, mayo and something else I'm forgetting wrapped in a tortilla-like roll
