I've been listening to A LOT of Tom Petty lately so I believe I shall pop in Long After Dark right now to commemorate him. Happy birthday Tom! :woohoo:

have a great day, tom!

the way you speak so dismissively about my beloved stevie is just so awesome! and the way you detach yourself from your friendship with stevie in interviews is so cool, you're just like don! happy birthday! why don't you just go write some more songs for stevie and then not give them to her? that would make for the best birthday ever! let us all know how that turns out; and when you do, sound extra grateful for her understanding. :wavey:

I can't remember if this was posted on the ledge or not, but here it is again. Good for Tom!

Tom Petty will receive the Century Award, Billboard’s highest accolade for creative achievement, at THE 2005 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS, airing live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Tuesday, Dec. 6 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

i'm currently miffed about his comments in his upcoming book. i think he sounded extremely cold and dismissive in regard to stevie. i don't hate him now or anything.

oh, and it was joke.

Happy birthday to the leader of the greatest rock and roll band, ever!

And a special thanks to Tom for introducing me (in one way or another) to 90% of the artists I listen to now!
